Unfortunately the season pass suckered in more than half of the player base so that money's already made, and whales will spend loads at Everhurts. However, Activision knows almost no one has a good thing to say about this game. People are still around due to a sunk cost fallacy, so Bungle has one more expansion to start pleasing players. The real make it or break it point is this September. If there is a big drop in sales, they will declare Destiny to be in a "state of critical risk," and the critical risk clause of their contract allows them to remove Bungle from the project and stop non-royalty payments on contracts. This would excise Bungle from the Destiny universe for the remainder of the ten year contract, and that would be devastating to Bungle's reputation, finances, and future prospects. It could easily destroy the company.
