I don't even know what you're saying.... What I'm saying is that if a prof gives you a deadline and asks you to do a report, you can't deliver them a bad one that you spent a lot of time on and expect a good grade. putting time and effort into something doesn't get you a good grade. The final product does. Whether that took you 5 hours or 100 hours. This is analogous to Bungie claiming that they didn't have time to meet their deadlines, so a lot of things were stripped out of a game as a result. But, they still sold the game at full price, even though it's garbage. It's the same as a student saying "Well I handed in the report on time, sure it sucked, but it's there, so I deserve full credit for it" No. You get credit for your finished product. Bungie's game isn't finished and it sucks. Most people know this, and because it's garbage they should have sold it for less. There has to be a consequence to a crap product. Paid DLC on a paid game with paid microtransactions is not a consequence. They're benefitting from releasing garbage.
