But the thing is when you manufacture a car, the car is largely already designed and your not going to deviate from that basic design.
It sounds like what Bungie does is they get to designing the car, they go with that design, then they partially build the car, and when the car is halfway complete, they totally change their mind and decide they want to build a truck, which requires a total re-engineering of the vehicle's basic plan. Which would be fine if they weren't facing any kind of strict deadlines. But they are. So they end up cutting corners, trying to reuse assets (prefabricated parts that were already ordered for the manufacturing process; i.e., reskins), and the quality of the end product suffers because they continue to try to make engineering changes to a product that's half way through manufacturing stage.
