Funny how WoW expansions has double the content than D2 had.
WoW expansions have double the content than all of D1 and D2 combined, and all created in under 2 years.

Edited by VORDBEAST1980: 1/4/2018 3:41:53 PMUnless you’re willing to pay a subscription fee like WoW, don’t bring up that game in the same aspect. Players of WoW are a dead serious crowd that pays $15 per month ($180/170 per year if you’re a hardcore WoW-ist) for their content which allows for the devs to continually have the resources to update the content while working on future expansions. It’s not “funny.” It’s economically frustrating. I personally thought that it was dumb for Bungie to release a game of this magnitude and expect it to flourish for 10years without asking for a subscription fee but, you get what you pay for and these 2 releases prove that the game that they envisioned making needs more of a financial backing. THIS IS NOT WoW! This is a cash grab that was supposed to be more but they settled for mediocrity.

Why make a massive multiplayer game if you're not serious about it?

Edited by VORDBEAST1980: 1/4/2018 11:45:46 PMI agree. They were in way over their heads and needed the financial backing (a subscription base service) to pull off what they set out as a team to accomplish but, there’s one ☝️ minor but major detail that no one is addressing. Before the disbandment of the original Bungie that was working diligently on the Destiny that we thought we were getting, a year prior to the release and Joseph Staten’s “final cut” debacle, there were rumors floating around that their would be an subscription fee for Destiny and the fans went ballistic about this idea.... later at E3 2014 an interviewer got a chance to speak to Deej and in textbook “PR” fashion, Deej stated that there will be no subscription fee tied to the world of Destiny. At that point, I thought to myself.... well now they’re just going to be bleeding money because a world of this magnitude that they claimed to be “MASSIVE” has to be maintained in some way. The team has to eat. So with that info, knowing that at first there was going to be a subscription fee, then.... the fans go against this model before the game is even released, then... you removed said/rumored subscription fee.... how does one make the money back on that kind of investment??? You have to downsize, cut content the sell it on packages that will equal the amount of what you would’ve made if said subscription service was in place. We in the Console world don’t understand that model so we quickly reject what we do not understand, (human nature) but we ended up paying for it in the long run with “Mini expansions and Eververse” . The watered down version of what this franchise was supposed to be is what we got in return. How can they keep people like “Joseph Staten and Martin O’Donell on board if they aren’t able to pay them? I still dream of what we could’ve had if everything went according to plan but, that dream is long gone now. Smh.

Edited by iNocturne: 1/4/2018 3:46:17 PMBut you pay for a fee kinda with xbl and psn to get most of the content with pvp etc. But yeah there are some truth to your statements as well.

Edited by VORDBEAST1980: 1/4/2018 3:51:37 PMThat has nothing to do with the Bungie studio and everything to do with Sony and Microsoft making money off us to maintain secure servers, which they do a terrible job at by the way. The PC Destiny community doesn’t pay those fees at all. For instance, FFXIV A realm reborn has a subscription fee I believe it’s somewhere between $10.99 and $13.99 per month, and people pay this along with paying the PlayStation plus and Xbox Gold fee. I personally don’t think you should have to pay for the ability to play online when PC player don’t but unfortunately that’s how it is.
