You know what I don’t get. Why do the more successful game developers enforce such deadlines for projects of this scale?
This isn’t some low quality indie game, it’s -blam!-ing Destiny. Yes, I know they probably wanted it out before the holidays, but still. People are going to buy Destiny regardless.
I’d rather them push back Destiny 2 and give us a complete game with well thought out content than this shitshow. Maybe even add Y4 content to Destiny 1 while we wait. Or don’t.
Look at God of War. Obviously a big title with plenty of anticipation, and it’s coming out after the holiday season. Because the devs know that people are going to buy it. Kingdom Hearts 3 has been pushed back so much that they will barely announce the YEAR that it’s coming out, and yet most fans have been patient.
These developers have gotten so greedy and don’t realize they are screwing themselves over in the long run.

Yup feels like Mass Effect all over again but a better game, in the end the real question is do they pull an EA and screw their customers or try in the hopes to bring some back and fix it for new ones. Been on division crap most of my clan is back on division or just purchased it but they stuck to it and there is so many new players jumping on now. I know it’s still has it glitches however you can still complete the mission but we couldn’t complete Calus last night because of glitches. Love the new immunity after second damage phase.

Because they've got a 10 year plan with set release dates and expected profit margins they must exceed. I actually couldn't notice this when I was playing D1 but in D2 it's glaringly obvious it's just a cash generator. Obviously they have to make money but damn, look after your customers while you do it! We all got poo poo'd on.

Edited by PhreshBrotha: 1/4/2018 5:21:13 PMI’d say ditch the plan. I had a feeling this would not workout since the day the game was announced. 10 years is a long time and they have barely gotten through 4 without pissing everyone off. I get that they have money to make, but with the way things are going, Destiny will look like an abandoned Vegas strip of Casinos by year 7.

D2 has lost 6.7m players since launch. That says it all.

Oh, you know why. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

me and my friends are always saying this, people get so angry when a game they want is delayed but its better for a game to come out late than to come out early and be poor quality setting a deadline results in the game development equivalent of the final answers on an exam, rushed, stupid, unchecked and made up of 90% sloppy guesswork

A good example of this Fallout New Vegas. Anyone remember the day 1 bugs it had? Game would crash when you entered The Strip after talking to the Securitron to get in. Push it back, polish it, then release it.
