(video link is - "Bungie Rebooted Destiny 2's Development Halfway & Felt Making Content Was Too Hard")
THE LAST STRAW.. broke the donkeys back
so it turns out the game was rebooted a mere 16 moths from launch because making regular content drops was "too hard" for them.
we've all stuck through all the shit bungie has thrown at us after we lined up for tickets to their shit show as well as having played all the great games and communities they were producing during the halo years all the way back to marathon.
its sad but i think its time we let go of the Bungie we knew and loved because this company is clearly not the same one we all fell in love with.
Bungie and its player base once shared a finely tuned symbiosis.
now we just feel like you're trying to leech of us like parasitic ticks who cant stop their spasms of blood lust and you just keep on suckling on our open wounds.
id say i was sad to say this all but if Bungie still cared how their player base felt about their actions we'd have gotten a half decent sequel to the original shitshow beta that was destiny 1

Making content is hard... the problem is Bungie puts too much effort into building a beautiful looking sandbox, without filling it with something worthwhile. Most likely because it takes so long to create the beautiful scenery. Personally I would be fine if they did one of two options from now on. 1) They focused on updating places they have created as time goes on to fill it with more intriguing activities and events. If they expand up adding additional difficulties with new phases for the existing raids and bosses. 2) The quality of the visuals take a hit so they can create more content.

Are we honestly trusting the word of some guy from Kotaku now? Have we truly fallen that far?

This tells me that Luke Smith learned nothing from d1 launch, seems every time he is involved something gets messed up

Hell even 3 had it's own issues but they aren't as well known. Not excusing them but people should know by now this is what they are. It's just now they can't correct the mistakes as easily because those who left bungie were key players in doing that, and the team size is waaay to big for proper communication.

I am not replying as none of the answers are in line with what I think. I keep playing as I see potential and for now I have fun and faith the game can improve like D1 did. I definitely fight and disprove of the RNG system in a AAA game with the ability to purchase the reward that by itself is a contradiction in terms (reward vs. purchasing). I also find despicable the gating the content behind pay walls and not fixing the problems but I have being playing games for more than 20 years and I saw these things over and over; no developer is perfect and all the corporation are greedy shameless creatures.
