Umm... Yeah. Playing video games releases dopamine into the brain, so it can be addictive. They're just applying addiction to video games. It's no different from any other type of addiction, except that it's not nearly as destructive on the body as substance addictions. Plus, most gamers don't put gaming above all else, so most gamers aren't gonna be diagnosed with I guess what is now "gaming addiction." I just don't like how some news outlets are portraying it. One outlet I saw literally just kinda skimmed over it in a matter of seconds, basically saying that if you play too much video games, you could have a problem. It's technically semi-true, but it didn't at all go into detail about the matter. So, of course, my family jumped on me a bit about my gaming habits, and I'm just like: "I got all A's during this last semester of college, I'm in a club at my school, and I don't put gaming above my family and friends. I don't at all qualify for the actual requirements of a positive diagnosis."
