That just sound more like a description of addiction. You can literally switch video games for any other hobby, and the diagnosis would work the same.
This sounds more specifically geared towards addressing those who prioritize hobbies over other priorities.
Which, to be fair, would be an issue; if you are dropping your rent money on a new system, or skipping meals to pay for DLC...well...

I agree. I think everything people enjoy have some small root in addiction. Obviously you do it, enjoy it, and see some reward/feel good about it. Rinse repeat. It becomes a problem when it becomes destructive. There is definitely varying degrees of destruction so it all depends on were one draws the line.
