I’m more curious about how Rasputin, whose hardware is on the Earth, gets trapped in a computer on Mars.
Sure they might finally introduce his Exo body but that still leaves his main body sitting in a bunker on Earth.

Personally I think Rasputin for lack of a better term “scattered” himself across multiple systems. Part of him is on earth, part of him might be in a computer on mars. I can’t remember when it was said but in D1 our ghost mentions that Rasputin is “everywhere now”.

Yeah early in we activated his array and he reconnected to systems all over the solar system. The bunker of his on Earth is his own “personal” bunker. Has his name on it. Charlemagne I think had a bunker on Mars. That’s how he is scattered. Still localized on Earth. You might be able hack in, which might be how this goes, but he is also the primary warmind and given his cards from 1, had overriding authority over even people. So I don’t see him being weaker then any other Mind. So it’s just looking at how it was presented in 1, this doesn’t jive. Part of the reason they took out the grimoire from 1, they’ve made a lot of changes. This might just be another one.

That’s one thing I’ve been wondering is Rasputin the sole warming or are the other war minds that -if memory serves me right- got destroyed during the collapse still canon? If I recall there used to be nine in total counting Rasputin himself.

I know in 1 it was stated as sole remaining. You know I can’t recall exactly what was said in 2, I’ve only played the campaign once lol but it still echoed the same sentiment. I do believe there was a few, maybe one for each planetary body. One thing that stuck me as odd was that in 2 he is still accessing parts of the network. It’s been over two years, should of happened quicker but then I’m sure they’ll hinge his getting caught based on him gaining access to something. I can’t recall any details on how his being the sole remaining was confirmed in lore, seemed to be assumptions. Based off no activity, Guardians don’t seem to have had access to these facilities to confirm it. Although it may be possible that another Warmind could hunker down too and go undetected. It did let Rasputin hide for centuries. So it’s possible. It should be really interesting, I’m sure they’ll touch on the Collapse. That’s the last point those two were both active and Rasputin did kind of leave everyone out to die. Let’s hope it’s good!

There were 3 main, if memory serves me right. Rasputin on Earth, Charlemagne on Mars, and Martel on Venus (who's ransacked bunker you *may* see in a D1 mission) not much was said about Martel, but it's pretty much a given he's gone gone. Charlemagne, there was still bits of him, and we never saw his "main" vault, so he has the possibility to come back. The other "minds" you hear of were more Subminds. Offshoots of Rasputin, Charlemagne, or Martel.

Ah alright. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yeah, no problem!
