Why do people post this stuff? Is it so hard to be patient? I didn't bother reading it because I'd rather experience new content as it comes out.

Ok, ignoring some of the more snide remarks, for some like me and my friends, we like getting a bone like this early because now we can spend the time speculating on what the story will be, what parts of d1 and d2 lore are being called on, and discussing what it means to the overarching story. Also, we are impatient lol. But you are free to read into or ignore the spoilers at your leisure.
-
Because, just because you read up about it doesn't mean that you know what it will be like. It's like buying a new car and someone telling you that the turbo is really strong, if you haven't experienced it then you won't know what's about to happen.
-
This gives the asshat community(#noeververse) something to build up to an unbelievable height, so they can cry and bitch about being lied to or let down after release. It's all about the tears!

Mars isn't new content.
-
The Mars we are getting is going to be new Content. The fact that you are this ignorant is just pathetic.
-
It's actually not new. It was cut from D1
-
No io was cut content from d1
-
Actually you’re wrong and I’ll guarantee you cannot provide one shred of evidence to support your ignorant claim.

http://planetdestiny.com/raid-mars-dlc/ "[…] The team ultimatelydecided to focus it around a single major map—the Hive ship that had been cut from vanilla Destiny—as well as a new public space on Mars, complete with strikes and a new raid. That entire last Mars chunk was later cut and passed to Activision subsidiary High Moon Studios to develop for Destiny’s full-sized 2016 sequel." I don't think my first reply went to the right post so here it is again

That article was from years ago so you don’t really have any evidence that this “new expansion” was cut from D1. It even said that D2 was coming in 2016, which was later replaced with RoI. So obviously this article is outdated and you can’t really rely on it for facts.
-
It was planned for D1. They changed their minds, and now it's in D2. Cut content.

Proof? Lol

Because other people like knowing ahead of time. You do realize you aren't the only side of the camp out there, right? Well..you do now. Sorry kid, the world is much bigger than what you think.
