Tbh ... Starwars BF2 had it's deep engrained loot box system removed (at least for period of time) because of player dislike. Saying we can't do much about it is not the way to think. BF2 is a prime example that the players are in control. We have a say in what they sell and what they can't get away with. We must need to start doing it to this dumpster fire. Can't wait to see DLC #3 sales once season passes are gone. Going to be glorious

BFII's a really poor example. Firstly, as you said, the microtransactions are just going to be reimplemented next year. Secondly, BFII was at the mercy of the entire internet; the majority of the Destiny 2 backlash is largely relegated to these forums, where Bungo has direct control. Then you have to take into account how utterly dysfunctional BFII has become without its monetisation schemes in place, because the game simply wasn't intended to operate without them. Then finally, understand that EA had absolutely [i]zero[/i] intention of removing the MTs until Disney stepped in and told them to back the [b]f[/b]uck off—because Disney genuinely gives a shit about the Star Wars ip. Do you think that Activision's going to give two shits about Destiny when the main revenue stream gets shut off? Sometimes you just have to be realistic, as much as it sucks. It's too late for Destiny.
