Gotta disagree on this one. Even though I loved TLJ... The problem with Destiny 2 (from a fan's perspective, mine) is that if you hold the 2 games up next to each other without titles, D2 seems like the predecessor. That's an issue. There's just no arguing that they made the game more 'accessible' and dumbed it down a bit, to the point it became somewhat bland and more difficult to stick with for extended periods... I get what you're saying about fandom and crybabies - and I agree with you. I still play Destiny 2 a lot. But it's not so much different from Destiny 1 as it is just... less...

  • Believe me, I understand what you are saying entirely. Thing is, D2 has just so many quality of life improvements over D1. It feels like a superior game. The only thing that people are truly annoyed about is the lack of a handful of modes and loot. That's really it. They cannot use the "paywall" excuse because the $20 they spend is going towards not just the new gameplay location and activites, but the cutscenes as well. They cannot justify going back to the previous weapon loadout because Crucible will just turn back into the spamfest that was "Hunter-Dodge-Into-Shotgun". Even now, they're screamimg about Eververse and how they seem incapable of understanding the notion that Illuminated Engrams can be grabbed for free after a few hours per day. It's a pathetic cycle of cynicism and shit, which only creates more shit in return. The only people who are upset about D2 are asking for the wrong things in the wrong way.
