Well no you've misread. They stated they discovered that it's function was unintended after launch. Meaning it was working beforehand but it looks to me it became bugged after launched.

No, Deej said it was launched with a bug but the statement came AFTER the discovery. The bug did not come after the launch, it was there before the launch as his statements suggests it came during or before, not after.
