i think you should quit while youre ahead. It's 1 flashpoint for 1 week. In many other games you would lose this option all together. They didn't cut the content... they put it on rotation to include the new dlc locations, same with trials.
An aggresive marketing strategy? Definetly reaching there... noone is forcing you to do anything. If they wanted to force it they'd have locked the milestone altogether.
How about we trade? you can have mercury but you get locked out of Iron Banner, Trials, and the Faction Rallies like Bungie originally had it? Point is... Yes... you lose 1 week of Flashpoint but that's hardly something to be on the forums crying about.

I'm not asking for DLC content. I'm asking that Flashpoint remains Vanilla and add a new milestone in for DLC.

So you think that with each DLC that adds content to a map rotation Milestone/crucible... that they should create seperate rotations for the vanilla players and those who have bought the DLC?
So you think that with each DLC that adds content to a map rotation Milestone/crucible... that they should create seperate rotations for the vanilla players and those who have bought the DLC?
That's one of three options. The second being keep vanilla rewatd systems as they are and add in a new milestone for DLC maps only. Third is keep it as it is and dilute the rewards system for people that just own the base game. While only giving DLC holders a variation to complete the same milestone they had prior to DLC release.

Ok 1. add separate rotations for milestones/pvp for vanilla and dlc owners not gonna happen because it will require way more work for bungie than it's worth and it adds no incentive to purchase the dlc. 2. add dlc exclusive milestones for new locations not gonna happen because it not only would be more work for bungie but that would also mean that as new dlc comes out players that purchase the dlc have less and less reason to go back to the other planets and locations unless bungie goes back and retroactively updates the milestones with each new dlc which again adds more work for them. i don't think you have actually thought about the amount of work something like this would take Also adding milestones would do the opposite of what bungie is trying to do... make a grindy endgame. Players would burn through the content and light lvl's way faster with more milestones. 3.keep it as it is and dilute the rewards system for people that just own the base game. While only giving DLC holders a variation to complete the same milestone they had prior to DLC release. unfortunatly this is the most likely way that it will go. Because from Bungie's perspective it's the smartest way to go. i'm not sure if you have played alot of mmo games or what but this is almost ALWAYS the way these things work out. This isn't a new model by any means. This way bungie has a way to reuse the content that they've already made while allowing the player to progress doing the same things they've been doing. Meanwhile every couple weeks the vanilla players will have to skip a milestone or a nightfall because of this rotation. Believe it or not but this is actually a pretty generous way to do it. Alot of games just cut players out completely that don't have the expansions altogether. My suggestion would be to either find a new game, buy the dlc, or feel lucky that although you lose one milestone for one week but still have access to all the other content and live events that they put out.

I just don't see how any point you've just made equals moving content out of reach of base game players... By buying the base game you contributed for someone to be paid to code the Flashpoint. Why should you then have the content moved out of your reach every so often? It's a lot better for both playerbases to have a new reward? Surely you have to agree on the principal even if you think they won't do it because it's too much work?

hey i'm not saying that i think bungie is right for this move... i agree with you. It would be nice for them to go through the effort to code things differently for the owners of dlc... Thus, leaving the vanilla players alone. BUT at this point in the game and with the state of the community i don't think it would be smart to do this at this time. They need to work on getting out more content and addressing the endgame/crucible. All i was doing was pointing out what i think makes the most sense from Bungie's point of view. Also if you'd like my opinion. alot of people on here whine about how short the DLC was but with the addition of the prophecies i doubt they have played all the content. I thought it was worth the money. If you have the opportunity i would suggest buying the DLC

Also if you'd like my opinion. alot of people on here whine about how short the DLC was This is why I'm saying create more things for DLC players to do rather than just adding something to an existing rewards model and removing it as on option from some of your playerbases. Diluting content for base game owners whilst only making a variation for DLC holders... They've not made anything new.
