It’s a max of three engrams/6 gear items. This is for one week. And it’s just $20 jfc. That’s not even an hour up to maybe 3 hrs of work if you work min wage (in America at least) And if $20 is such a money crunch you may need to prioritise your monetary policy and lay of the video games.... people act like paying $20 is the end of the world. Is it over priced, a bit. But hell, I’ve had a ton of fun in the DLC and the raid lair has a Templar/Aksis vibe. Please stop complaining. And what is bungie supposed to do? Never use new planets for weekly things? That’s about as dumb as permanently locking the raid above vanilla cap

  • This thread has never been about the cost of the DLC. By all means add new rewards to the weekly planet, a new milestone specifically for Mercury? Go for it! But adding new maps to existing reward systems just adds variation for DLC holders. It's nothing new because you got the same milestone prior to the DLC release. It's just diluted the weekly activities for base game holders... I'm saying Bungie could do another reward for DLC holders without removing the possibility of base game holders being able to access release milestones. 'That’s about as dumb as permanently locking the raid above vanilla cap' That's a conversation for a different post.

It’s not really a different post. Topic. Both are locking content out of something that people paid for. Sure with the raid it’s more direct, but you’re still locking the DLC purchasers out of the chance to play the DLC. Not specifically the flashpoint bc PEs and all you can do whenever but things like nightfall and if they readd a weekly raid you’re locking people out of things. Just indirectly Edit: and I do agree that the way they implement it is -blam!- but taking it away is more -blam!-

  • I'm saying existing milestones should be kept from the base game and new ones should be added for DLC holders. If you are paying for something, you deserve something. Whats happening currently is you're diluting available milestones for base game holders whilst giving DLC holders variation. But you're not getting anything new? As for the raids, they could keep the power level options from the base game and add increasingly higher power level options? Then just add a modifier to the rewards? so you get less chance of the better drops at a lower power level?
I'm saying existing milestones should be kept from the base game and new ones should be added for DLC holders. >I agree 100%. However, bungie did not do that and we have to deal with it. If you are paying for something, you deserve something. Whats happening currently is you're diluting available milestones for base game holders whilst giving DLC holders variation. But you're not getting anything new? >Again I agree. However, think about the other side of the story. With the current implementation (do not think about other much better ways. Just current), the alternative is never have them featured. That takes away content from dlc purchasers. It’s pretty much either occasionally vanilla players don’t have access, or DLC is never feature and the DLC is locked out permanently. I think the latter is definitely not better imo As for the raids, they could keep the power level options from the base game and add increasingly higher power level options? Then just add a modifier to the rewards? so you get less chance of the better drops at a lower power level >100% agree yet again but they haven’t yet. They said they are trying to but bungie is lazy so don’t expect much [\quote]

I think the latter is better imo So this is the only point we disagree on, well kinda. What I'm saying is Flashpoint is a thing that existed on vanilla maps. Keep Flashpoint for vanilla only but create a new extra reward for DLC holders so that they have NEW content... Not a variation on an existing milestone?

  • I don’t disagree with you. I want that to happen. Not because it can give more loot or anything but because it does such for vanilla. But I still agree more with occasionally adding a dlc one than never adding a dlc one. I don’t agree 100% with either but it’s a lesser of two evils thing
