I do not think Bungie realizes what they did when they tried to appeal to casuals
I am a huge fan of Bungie and I support them. But when I found out they were trying to appeal to casuals I was slightly disappointed. I pretty much can only play on weekend due to school and sports and I still was able to play all endgame content like raids and keep good grades. By the end of D1 I had every exotic weapon and all armor except for all the class items ( I had one for each character). Anyway I had time to do all endgame stuff. I heard in a Twitch chat somewhere that when Bungie tried to appeal to casuals, but the casuals were the first to leave. Because well, they are casual. They play other games. If they don't like Destiny alot they play for a bit and then go play another game. I understand that this has to do with making money and I am fine with that. But Bungie is just digging themselves into a hole that they might not be able to get out of. Think about it like this. Bungie loses casual even though they game is meant to be more casual than it predecessor. BUT, its too casual for the hardcore so they leave. So that only leaves the ultra-loyal-Destiny fans standing and a few others from the other groups. I am pretty much saying that by Bungie making it more casual they are probably losing more players than if Destiny 2 was more based around hardcore play.
