An appearance by Deej? This was unexpected.
Any plans to do away with dual primaries or separate PvP and PvE? Those would likely bring me back...

D1 PvP was the most unbalanced, broken experience of my life. I've been PvPing since Doom/Duke3D. In no way do I want that sham back. No gun skill required. Just get good at moving/skating and shotgun your way around a map. It was so easy, someone like me who has great gun skill only took a week to learn the movement and destroyed people. It provided bigger "moments" but the netcode is not good enough for those to feel good. Nope. Tweak what we have, it's a far better system than D1 ever had. If you wanna 1HKO people, go play Quake/Doom or something of the like.

Agreed, d1 was never balanced but it was wildly more popular than what we have now. Anyone playing destiny for a balanced gunfight clearly missed the point of destiny. Destiny was about space magic (supers) and loads of powerful weapons. If you wanted a balanced primary only gunfight, other games existed for that...that was not the niche destiny filled. Why do you think d2 gets so much hate? Because they took what made destiny and either dumbed it down or removed it. Crucible is terrible and many have stopped playing after such a short time, thats not because its good. You have it backwards...i’m playing the game of ohk weapons and supers. Or are those 10+ sword kills i get not considered ohk?

It won't matter until they get dedicated servers for PvP. The way it is now is so dependent on your internet speed it is ridiculous. I was a pretty decent d1 crucible player but I moved just before d2 came out and I had very slow internet for the first two months of d2 and I was averaging below a 1 in efficiency. About a month ago I upgraded to a better internet and replaced the lines in my house and I have been averaging over 1.8 since then. My gameplay hasn't changed but I have gone from being outgunned almost every time to out gunning my opponent most of the time. There will never be any consistency in PvP until bungie goes away from peer to peer connections.

Lol and skill is required now? Unbalance is more fun then boring balance that's all just team shooting.
-
Oh god... The Team Shooting is really stupid. I've heard from my friends who plays D1 that you could've done more by yourself and be the "hero", but now in D2 if it's 1v2, you'll most likely lose.

1. They've already nerfed movement speed which means being a shotgun warrior is more difficult. 2. Separating the sandboxes means they could make proper adjustments without affecting PvE, ie. Shotguns can do critical damage in one but not the other, snipers are already hardly viable with their slow ADS time, or they could keep the system the same for one and change it for the other i.e. keep RLs and such out of PvP cause they're really not needed, or they could buff primaries back to a more reasonable TTK which would relegate shotties and snipers to true secondaries as high risk/reward again. The possibilities are endless if they'd just allow themselves that freedom. But no, they want to keep banging their heads against the wall trying to balance the entire game around PvP.

Dual primaries has been my biggest complaint with D2. Making primaries slightly better and removing ammo bypassing special weapons like ice breaker would of made me happy.

I kinda appreciate being able to equip an auto and a scout at the same time.personally though I understand everyone has their own playstyle and may not benefit the same way.

Just read a different post with an ideal solution, give us 4 weapon slots. Not sure how that could be implemented but it solves both the special weapons of d1 going back to that slot and allows us to have dual primary. I enjoy running hand cannon/ scout or auto rifle and scout/hand cannon.
