Just a small rant about toxicity in game.

Yeah I know this topic is too much of a cliche already and it should be ignored but, sometimes these things just can't be looked past. I was playing some Iron Banner matches with my clanmates just for fun (we were a group of four), as we have not gone back to the Crucible in a long time and just to see how bad we were in game. On our third match, there's this one dude in the other team started tea-bagging me for no reason at all. So I was just like "Okay dude, you have your fun. I'm gonna ignore you and pretend this never happened." Usually, I do forget about this little things even if I get bagged over and over in that same match. Note: I was doing really bad myself and I do have a really bad taste when it comes to D2 PvP. So after the match, my clanmates and I were just talking about how bad we were doing that match and try to play better next time. Seconds later after the post-game score sheet showed up, the guy that kept on bagging me messaged me saying how bad I was in game and that my clan should be ashamed of me. Now typically, the person that messages is the one who's lost and has been raging a lot and would eventually talk trash to the winning team. This time, the person in the other team made an effort to message me just to say how sh*t I am. So I responded to him in a very long rant and talked trash to him as I was pissed at that moment. My friends were telling me to ignore him and just continue on playing. We hopped in to our next match and he was matched with us again, so I wastelling to myself I'm gonna get him this time. But as the match went on, he still kept on bagging me. After that match, I just flooded him with some insults (which I know can lead me into getting banned, but whatever) and blocked him. What's funny is that, this community (Destiny) is said to be the most compassionate and helpful community in the game. Our clan has done some LFG raids and every time we finish those sessions we feel great about ourselves because we've helped someone through some of the content/s in game where they need people to do so. For me to get a message from a stranger insulting me about how trash I am is really rare and it gets into me because, I've done nothing at all to harm him. I just played and tried to enjoy the game and it's been ruined by one person. Some would say that this is just a small amount of people in the community but to others who rarely plays the game, especially PvP, means all that's left playing Crucible are the most toxic people in game and it makes me really sad. I know some of you are just gonna respond to this post "If you don't wanna get bagged, don't play the game." and I'll tell you right now, it's a really petty excuse. We're all gamers here and we're here to enjoy the game during this times where most of the content has been consumed. If this is what I get for playing some matches in Crucible, I would stop playing Crucible. But at the same time, I wanna play PvP because I want to get some rewards that are only from that specific activity. I just hope that one day, there will be less toxic people in this community. PS: If I ever get banned, I'll just delete the game and break my disc. No point in grinding the game. I play on Xbox, if anybody's curious.

  • tox·ic adjective 1. poisonous. synonyms: poisonous, virulent, noxious, deadly, dangerous, harmful, injurious, pernicious You're right. Xbox IS the way to go. But yeah, it's sad that people are so toxic that they will hate on other players for no reason than their own bloated up egos (and ELOs) They get so touchy about their "Pro level KD" that they probably just grinded for in Quickplay anyway. People need to realize that a game is all about having fun. It's why they exist. They need to stop being so mean to other members of their own community and learn to be more open, and try to help other people out for a change. That doesn't mean don't try your best, it means don't get so proud of yourself that you insult someone else who "isn't as good as you are." Honestly, this community is almost as bad the game itself :) (JK i still love you destiny)
