My Idea on making Endgame content and PvE exciting!

Horde Mode: I believe that a horde mode is the the perfect challenge to bring back excitement and flare to the Destiny 2 PvE endgame world. How it would work: A fireteam of 3 would enter into an arena, similar to the size of a crucible map. Waves of enemies would spawn in, with each wave becoming more difficult. The goal of the event: Survive. There would be no time limit, and no requirement other than killing every enemy to advance to the next round. Players who are killed would be available for revive, but after a 30 second wait. More specifics: The goal of this event would be to create an unbeatable activity. There is no “final wave,” bragging rights would be based on which wave you reached. In order to avoid dry/boring strategies or cheeses, areas of the arena ignite in fire, similar to the Homecoming mission, forcing players to constantly move around instead of camping in one protected corner. Stats are included in this gamemode and can be checked mid fight, showing both kills and damage output of each player, so killing weak enemies as well as damaging stronger ones are both encouraged and incentivized. At the end of every round, ammo and super is filled, reducing the need for RNG power ammo drops as well as taking away the desire to keep one enemy aive to build supers. This event does not change. It stays consistent every week so there are never “easier” weeks and “harder” weeks like there are for activities such as Nightfalls. Checkpoints and rewards: After every 5 waves players unlock a checkpoint. Meaning, for example, if the fireteam gets wiped during wave 19, they can try again by spawning back in for the beginning of wave 16. Checkpoints are only valid with the same fireteam and go away at the weekly reset. Reward system follows the checkpoint system, with a fireteam receiving a reward after every 5th wave survived. Rewards get better as guardians progress. For example, after surviving wave 5 guardians receive a sparrow or a ship. Wave 10: Horde armor. Wave 15: Horde armor: Wave 20: Horde power weapon. Wave 25: Horde energy weapon. Wave 30: Horde primary weapon. Every 5 waves after, guardian selects which type of drop they will receive. Important notes: The armor and weapons earned in Horde mode cannot be earned anywhere else, including clan rewards, meaning that if a Guardian wanted a specific primary weapon from Horde mode, they would have to survive wave 30 themselves and hope for the weapon to drop. Also, to touch on a note from before, this activity is meant to be difficult. Reaching wave 30 should be a serious challenge that guardians struggle for weeks to achieve, and with some guardians never seeing the glory. Along with a reward, guardians unlock an emblem they can boast for each 5th way survived. In other words, the most skilled guardians would boast emblems proving they survived waves other guardians could only dream of reaching.
