With the impending repeal of Net Neutrality, this is a very real scenario we could see from ISPs. In addition to any subscriptions you pay for Xbox Live, Netflix, Spotify, etc, you may have to pay extra to your ISP just to access those services.

4 RepliesThey'll charge exactly what we're willing to pay. Some of these doomsday scenarios are a little silly. Not much is going to change...businesses will still have to provide a service and they will still have to charge a reasonable price if they want customers. No is going to instantly jack prices 300%. If we want the internet to operate like a public utility we should just make the internet a public utility. With will the incentives and tax breaks given to these companies, we probably could have already done it.
