I have played Destiny 2 for about a week or so now, going into 280+ with my warlock. I was very interested in pvp immersion with a bungie game, with a rich history of pvp oriented games.
It didn't take long to see that a Midas Multi-tool and Uriel's were go-to weapons. I already had the Midas, and just recently received a Uriels (I may have already got one and dismantled it in favor of Hard Light)
Unfortunately, this became a standard in pvp... cover and see who gets more headshots with their midas then the other player before dying, combined with occasional grenades. Rarely I see a sword user sprinting through, but it has constantly been Midas battles. I have been able to take out an entire team solo by just taking some cover and getting the headshots in to each of them.
It would be great to see some pvp exclusive weapons added, and special resistance items to certain damage/weapon types. I would love to change it up a bit and have fun with pvp, but after the constant wins with the same monotonous mechanic of scout rifle battles, I lost interest quickly.
The only exception has been a well-organized team, using tactics to surround my team, which happened to be a streamer and his brother. Then right back into the normal stuff.
