Hunter.

So a slight annoyance. Titan puts up barrier and it does it job, it blocks bullets. Warlock puts down rift and it does its job, it heals or increases damage. Hunter dodge and gets killed in the middle of the dodge animation. Uhm..what? Why isnt the dodge actually dodging anything? It doesnt bring any group utility or anything and its not even doing what its supposed to do which is dodge. Why not give the Hunter immunity to damage while in the animation? Or hell how about these ideas if there isnt going to be any immunity: Mobility reduces dodge cooldown. You know.. because mobility is fairly useless as it is and Hunters are supposed to be the ones that benefit most from it. Dodge drops down a field of smoke in an area (slightly larger than warlock rift area) that turns all allies inside it invisible for a few seconds, breaks aggro in pve and triggers health regeneration. Nightstalker: Vanishing Step trait in the Way of the Trapper turned to Mirage that makes it so a shadowy clone dodges in the opposite direction from you and mimics your movements for a few seconds. (Whos the real Hunter and whos the mirage?) Gunslinger: Dodge makes the Hunter throw out 3 knives through the smoke at the nearest target (or 3 knives at one target if there's only one), the target(s) become marked and take X% more damage from the Hunter and his allies. Arcstrider: Dodge creates a static field around the hunter that reflects X% of incoming damage for a few seconds.

    I've got an idea. Hunter roll creates a hologram that rolls opposite of the hunters intended direction. Hunter rolls forward, hologram goes backwards. Hunter goes backwards, hologram goes forwards. Said hologram will continue walking forward and be visible on the radar, will flicker revealing it's a hologram after 60 points of damage is dealt. The hologram would distract enemy players and would allow the hunter to escape. Halo reach's hologram was incredibly powerful if used right.

    All of these sound really really powerful. What would the point of other class abilities be? Edit: Not that I don’t think a buff would be good, but let’s not go crazy. They would need to change a lot for this to be viable. This would also mean a lot of buffs to rift and shield as they would be much weaker. I think something needs to be done, but something less powerful. Like improve mobility, or improve resistance for like 1-2 seconds.

    • Yeah, I don't really even use dodge because most of the time it just gets me killed. And invisibility , might aswell put a large red arrow on the player because it really doesn't do shit. So far I feel like hunters are the peasants of D2

      • Yes hunters need more love .. I play as nightstalker and arcstrider... I love nightstalker .. subclass has some amazing perks like invisibility and smoke bomb. But I fell like both of these subclass are weak .. because people can shoot and kill both while their super is active.. and yes dodging does not save you in any way ... unlike titans who have hell lot reciliance ... Bungie please fix this .... nightstalker and arcstrider should be more recicilient while super is active and shadow shot should kill a guardian not just suppress them

          Destiny 1 = only hunter can dodge, titans have to use an exotic, warlock can't. Titans and warlock never complain. Destiny 2 = hunters can dodge, titans can't, warlock can only with a shitty subclass in midair Hunters cry Dodge don't have animation, you can recharge weapons, when you are invisible the aim assist and the radar for your enemies is disabled (pvp = 100% win in 1vs1) You can revive teammates in pve with invisibility without being killed. You can throw smoke bomb and kinfe. With nightstalker you have a better radar Hunters, warlocks and titans have 3 different abilities with their pros and cons

          • Hunters dodge is immediate. The Titan and Warlock are easily killed while deploying their ability. And I think hunters has quickest cooldown. AND I recall people wanting a universal dodge for all Subclasses. And now they don’t want it.

            • Ummmm.... You mean why don't the different hunter subclasses get access to all the same dodge perks as each other? Cause Arcstrider gets: Increased DR, Sprinting CD's Dodge, Melee kills recharge dodge. Gunslinger gets: No bonuses, its the weakest dodge. Nightstalker gets: invis. All get gambler's and melee recharge. I can tell you now that if you have the DR dodge roll in Arcstrider you will survive most places a normal hunter would just be obliterated. It's only like 20% or so, so if you are being heavily teamshot you still might die anyways. They almost always have dodge up for their first engagement thanks to the CD perk on sprinting. Whereas, other hunters will not. That being said I do think that the animation needs to be faster so guns do not just naturally track the entire distance and instantly kill the hunter. It needs to break the aim on the person.
