When you don’t realize Americans can revolt against the government anytime they want.... Why? Because revolution made this country!
-
Correction: We can try to revolt (and fail miserably). Times have changed since the days of the revolutionary war. The redcoats didn't have tanks, heavily armed riot guards, nukes, or any of the other shit that our armed forces have. I'd love to see a militia of lightly armed citizens try to overthrow our government. The resulting bloodbath would be hilarious.
-
what if one of those disgruntled militia people is Doom Guy or Master Chief good?

yeah keep telling yourself that.

Clearly some forgot that the American Revolution was base on the ideas of Enlightenment thinkers, and one of those ideas was that the people can revolt and replace the government whenever. Of course there had to be legitimate reason, but still the point stands.
-
American Revolution happened because the British used the colonies to fill an economic gap after their war with the French. Colonies didn’t like getting taxed to death. Enlightenment Thinkers my penis.
-
The constitution was base off those ideas, you dipshit.

Why is it quoting me...
-
im well aware of the symbolism of the American revolution and even revel in my second amendment rights..... but if you think the people of this county have a chance of rising up and fighting the government in this day in age, you're on crack.
-
Aren’t the people the ones the work this country? Isn’t the common man the one fighting in the army? Wasn’t it written in the American constitution that people have a say in everything? I.e freedom of speech?
-
Correct. This guy gets it... unfortunately.

They’ve tried it before and our calls, faxes and letters were heard! It’s that type of thinking that will make sure they repeal it all together. Doing this is all we can do but it doesn’t mean it’s all for nothing.
