When you die in the crucible right as you gain a bright engram the big yellow symbol that flashes in the middle of the screen in the attached image stays on the screen for the duration of the match. Typically this happens when I have traded kills with someone and they kill me right as I kill them but I have just gained enough experience to earn a bright engram. The yellow futuristic Alabama style bowtie symbol is the only thing that is left from the sequence but it persists until the match is over.
