Destiny franchised shouldnt be designed for casuals

Imo Destiny as a game as a franchise should not be designed around casual players, d2 is suffering because of it. Id like to think im somewhere in between a "casual" and a "time invested " player. Take destiny 1 for example. Did i get that sweet god rolled grasp of malok? No Did i get the full set of raid or iron banner armour ? No Did i ever go flawless in trials? No And you know what i was fine with that , i still thouroughly enjoyed playing d1 because when ever i logged on and played i felt rewarded for the time i put in whether it be 30 mins or on the rare chance a few hours. D2 imo is based to heavily around casual player engagement and its ruining the core aspect of what made d1 such a great game, yeah it had its flaws, its imperfections. But it was enjoyable. I could write a list of improvements and additions to improve the game but its all been said numerous times on here and reddit. The sad part is that they dont seem overly concerned about it. Yes they're working on ways to improve alot of aspects of the game and they've said they're listening. If im wrong so be it im sure ill be told, but i think alot of you would agree.

  • Here's the problem man, bungie doesn't know what their game is. It's a looter shooter with some pvp. There is honestly very little to be enjoyed about the gameplay. The reason we play is because we were addicted to the loot. Take away the loot for a second, would you actually have run omnigul a million times? Would you have run the raids more than once? Would we even have playe iron banner ever? No. The content is quite honestly boring. It's the loot that keeps us addicted. Playing the same missions over and over is only fun because we see a light at the end of the tunnel: loot. They either need to bring back random rolls, or somehow find a way to make the content replayable. And I've very rarely found any pve game replayable in any way. Once you play a story, you know what happens. It's over. There has to be some sort of allure to keep us in the game.
