Nursing homes are filled with some of the worst people I've met. They trivialize any request a patient makes and they often times joke around treating grown adults as if they were only 3 years old. I had a grandmother in a nursing home and one week, my aunt couldn't make it in to visit her because she was sick. The next week she came in, she found her dehydrated. They rushed her to the hospital where they hydrated her and medicated her. The doctors said that she was at least 5 to 6 days dehydrated. The nurses at this nursing home were going to let my grandmother die of dehydration because my aunt couldn't make it in to see her. But that's not the only time. When I was visiting my grandmother, she shared a room with another woman. This woman started calling for help and pressing her button to request a nurse. 30 minutes passed and no one came. So she asked if one of us could find a nurse to help her. We went out and notified one who said she'd be in there in 5 minutes. 5 minutes pass, nothing. 10 minutes pass, nothing. So my mother went to the front desk to request assistance, who said that the lady we talked to just went on break and she'll get someone else in the room asap. Another 30 minutes passed and we had to leave since visiting hours were over, yet no one came. About 2 days later we found out in the newspaper that woman died that day about 3 hours after we left, in the nursing home. So I doubt anyone helped her. The list goes on with incidents. Hell, if someone goes into a nursing home and someone doesnt visit them and hes rude, they'll let them die. So I'm honestly not surprised this happened somewhere else. Yeah, I get nurses are people too and have to deal with old people who can be loud, rude, obnoxious, and disobedient, but these are people's family members. What has to be going through your mind where you're like, eh, I'll let them die. Nbd.
Not all nurses their are bad. My gf used to work in one.

That's horrible. Why the heck are they like that? Both my grandmas live with family members so I'm happy about that.
Probably because they just don't care and they don't expect to get caught. Look at the woman in this video, lying straight to an attorney until the camera popped up. Hell, I saw another video where she explains that human life is precious and you don't stop CPR until a doctor tells you to. Then here she's laughing at this dying old man and doing nothing for almost an hour
