Safe to say never buy a AAA game at launch, always wait a few months. Wish i had done the same. Not pissed with my purchase but man is D2 missing the gameplay hook to keep me craving to play. Really needs a better RPG character system, let me play as something interesting with skill i use more often and ability to spec into things that compliment cool loot like with other loot farming games. Make loot more interesting, Im limited to one exotic gun and one piece of gear? legendary gear is just a number and extremely boring...make exotics the norm then put cool effects on them that will jive with the above mentioned interesting RPG perk system.... You have the hamster wheels of content in place, just missing a reason to actually do them more than once.... Also...people bored of raids like 10 years ago playing mmorpgs....not saying take them out but there needs to be better endgame content for people who dont want to spend hours at a time coordinating with people in a raid....strikes are ok but...you know....boring.... Public events: see any mmorpg made in the last 10 years for better examples...the ones in game are ok but get old super fast. Finally...scrap the campaign....was a nice try....but maybe explain what the hell the traveler is, why i should care, and then try to make some alien darth vader taking it so i have a frame of reference...also who the hell are those alien orc people? care to elaborate? what is a guardian? i shouldn't be asking these questions after playing through the damn story lol....thats how you know its a bad campaign. Didnt skip a single cutscene...
