Being competitive is all about having a level playing field. Aim-assist on PC introduces a very obvious issue, which clouds the skill-gap between players, you will not be able to tell if you lost to a good player or if your opponent was using an artificial helper. Aim-assist is an accessibility function, it does not in any way shape or form determine player-skill. If how well a player performs is determined by an accessibility tool, then doing good without it means nothing, you might be good on kbm, but you could also just perform good with aim assist without being good. Controller should NOT compete with keyboard and mouse because that would be artificial input against actual player input. Some people say controller puts you at a disadvantage, while this IS the case in other games, it is not in D2, the aim assist is just way too strong. Both inputs have their pros and cons, but this is not about one performing better in specific situations, it's about being competitive on a level playing field. You simply cannot put aim assisted controllers versus raw kbm input in any scenario where both parties are aiming to win, because who wins won't be determined by the individual skill in the game or "player input". One side will have to put in considerably less effort than the other. This isn't another whine post about aim assist giving an unfair advantage, try to understand what I'm saying here. This game needs to either seperate controller players from KBM in PVP, weaken the aim-assist by a ton or simply remove it from PvP.
