OVER 870 POSTS. LIST OF LINKS EXCEEDED 10,000 CHARACTER CAP. ADDITIONAL LINKS TO POSTS ARE LISTED IN COMMENTS BELOW. Up vote and share this post on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc at Bungie, gaming media outlets, and social media community groups. We need to put pressure on Bungie to acknowledge and fix this issue. We all love Destiny, so "Rise up Guardians!" Purpose of this post: To centralise ALL "crash to desktop/freezing/BSOD" posts in the PC Support sub thread on Bungie.net. Why: Because at the time of compiling and writing this post, there are over 147+ pages of posts, the majority of which are about crashing to desktop/freezing/studdering, and recently account banning now as well. Intention of this post: To FORCE Bungie's attention to this issue, and alert game journalists to write about this, in effort to get Bungie to officially acknowledge in a public statement that they are A) aware that a large number of players are experiencing this "crashing to desktop/freezing/BSOD" (in addition to other problems of studdering, low FPS, and banning), B) fix their game, C) state when they expect it to be fixed, D) assist players in pursuing a refund if Bungie doesn't fix the game within a timely manner.   • It is actually ridiculous at this point. 3+ weeks and no fix, not even a mention in the known issues about the rampant random crashing. If it doesn't get fixed in the next few weeks leading up to the DLC, I will not be buying it or any further Destiny content.

      Bungie doesn't give a shit, we gave them our money, be clever quit playing Destiny, i did i switched to other games. Playing Assassin's creeds origin and i love it.

Have to go to task manager to kill the task. Happens anywhere from 5-15 minutes, usually at the end of a missions (I gave up trying to get gear and haven't played in a few weeks). Didn't happen initially... After the first week. Also, in Destiny 2's crash folder (AppData\Local\Temp\Destiny2\CrashFolder\px_x64\[crash folder name]), the actual crash is: "hitch detected: mainloop world controller state activity:in_world {{!34!}} job fiber:{{!0x00834002!}} phase:{{!-1!}} iteration:0x0 stalled "

          • The game was crashing to the desktop telling me to scan and repair so often I was ready to call it quits. I turned off my antivirus when I play and haven't had a single crash yet!

              I've been crashing all the time since launch. Windows is up to date, all drivers are up to date, my BIOS is up to date, nothing is overclocked. I've made sure both the Blizzard app and Destiny 2 are allowed to communicate through Windows Firewall. I've enabled/disabled Windows Game Mode. I've ran memory tests overnight with no errors, I've ran graphics card stress tests with no errors. I've monitored PC temperatures, nothing is overheating, I've taken my computer apart and cleaned everything very thoroughly. I've monitored CPU/Memory usage while playing, and it never spikes into high numbers. I've fiddled endlessly with in game settings. I've made sure nothing else is running in the background while trying to play. I've tried every suggestion I can find on various forums/posts. I've completely reinstalled Windows, downloaded only Blizzard/Destiny. Nothing I do matters, I keep crashing and the crash report is the exact same every time. I can play Crucible for hours on end without crashing, but it still does crash with the same errors. I was crashing last week during the raid every 30ish minutes, then it stopped and I was able to finish the raid without crashing. I can play through the Campaign without much issue, though it will randomly crash still. Public events are the worst and crash the most frequent, with the planet Titan being infinitely worse than any other location. I can just be standing in a random location on Titan and I'll crash, but this really isn't the case anywhere else.

                • Yep, same for me. Played flawlessly till mission, when i need to board carrier to kill some guy. After that crash to desktop every 30-40 min. Updated drivers, done win updates, used v sync, etc. Sometimes it "fix" the issue for hour or two but then it is back to the same shit. I would blame my hardware but then, i played nearly all campaing without issues, done multiple events. Waiting for a fix, will not buy season pass till it is fixed before curse drop. If it is still unfixed i would just unninstal and forget about it.

                      • I Know how you all feel. I get the same thing. It actually crashed on the last mission when I was ascending in the enemy plane to fight the final boss and it locked. Now I have no way to continue that mission and fight him. How am I going to finish the game before the DLC comes out. Bit angry,

And the info there seems to be completly unrelated to 99.9% of all the Buffalo errors, from what I've read on the forums here. I am using battle.net, I own one PC, I have only installed Destiny 2 on this PC. It can happen any time during the game, even during cinematics. I try to roam around mostly, doing stuff like lost sectors and public events. Getting DC all the time in PVP and Strikes is not fair to the other players. Leviathan I can only dream about. The only pattern I've seen is that when I get the first Buffalo error of the day, I tend to get 2-5 almost immediatly after trying to log back in. Then it's back to "it can happen any time". Some days are worse then others. I've spent 100$ on a game I can't enjoy, and I am given no help. I will suffice for "We are aware of the issue BUFFALO and are working to fix it", and that it's caused by something else then you describe in your sticky. I will not buy anything Bungie has their name on in the future and I'm sure I'm far from alone on this, if you don't start to talk to the community and adress the issues. You'd think that a multimillion dollar company could afford to hire a few more ppl to answer forum-posts, at the very least. 1/100 post is not good enough. /A frustrated gamer who would love to play your fantastic game. ...and don't even think of sending me to blizzard, they will send me straight back here. Edit: Tried rolling back graphic drives with out luck

                              • I managed to find a workaround for my PC rebooting - I installed MSI afterburner and limited GPU power limit to 60%. Can't guarantee that will help you, but worth a try!

                                • Add me to the list. Just started playing about a week ago, had some minor issues but nothing too bad until today. Now it's crashing with the "scan and repair" message so frequently that the game is unplayable.

                                  • I turned Vsync back on and crashing went away for a while. Until today. I have again started crashing to desktop. This is ridiculous, how can they release a game in this state? It's annoying enough that they removed QoL changes from D1 but having an unstable game on top of that is just awful QA.
