I agree with you. When I first heard about the changes in Crucible i was excited. Now I am disappointed. I think I prefer D1 pvp better now.

When I first read about the changes I was seriously pessimistic. Then I played the beta, had a blast and did well. I even made a Shaxx tribute montage for my YouTube channel which is my most popular video by miles. When D2 launched I was excited since I'd enjoyed the PVP in the beta, but after doing all the initial crucible quests on all 3 toons, and stepping foot into Trials of the Nine, my excitement soon turned to disappointment as the sheer numbness of the meta playstyle and severely lacking variety of choice/options soon dawned on me. I haven't played a single PVP match in D2 since Iron Banner. Even then it felt so frustratingly one dimensional I could only entertain 3 or 4 matches each time, even though I was one of those players who would find a flank and get some nice kills and enemy team wipes, it really started to pick at me just how uninspiring it was to play. I jacked my titan up with a full set of armour by rank 12 and just stopped.

It just does not feel satisfyingly enough.
