Good work, dude. I have some questions about the Exos: Have we ever seen one that wasn't made/modeled for a human mind to be implanted? If not, and since we've lost the technology to make more, are Exos a dying race?

  • That would be a frame.

  • Frames are AI that start with whatever information and task is programmed into their heads from a computer, and from there they have the storage space and ability to learn from everything they see. This means they can developer personality quirks over years based on their experience, which is extremely impressive for a machine, but Frames are still far from being sentient The Redjack combat Frames, for example, go into battle to claim territory. In their first few years they are not used to the rapid inflow of battle information, so some explode due to overloads. Those who survive use their previous experiences to determine strategies for winning their current battles and will pick up on battle-lingo and insulting speech from whatever people they may be working with. This is why Arcite talks like Shaxx

  • All Exos we know of are 100% human and I’ve never heard of an Exo designed to hold a non-human mind They are a dying race. No more are being made and no proper repairs can be made to damaged ones

  • His Ghost restored his arm when everyone got their Light back. Ghosts can restore any wound on their Guardian if they have the energy for it It’s amazing how many people have asked me that same arm question…

  • I don't remember anyone saying that anyone but your guardian got their light back... When/how did they get it back?

  • When the Traveler woke up its Light flooded back out into the universe. All the Guardians got their Light back, although I still haven’t found anywhere where it is specifically said Unfortunately that’s also a question I have been asked way too many times

  • I do remember that cutscene. Sorry for all the questions, but thanks for the gracious replies vs. salt slinging. Be well, Guardian.

  • No problem, I love answering questions When I deal out salt it’s always with a touch of sugar mixed in, so don’t think I’m trying to offend if I seem exasperated ;) good job dealing with me calmly lol Light be with u

  • I would love to think original Exos could be made. The fact that their processors have the capacity to emulate a former human's mind gives me hope they have the potential to contain original personality. Unless by "human minds" they have a literal person's brain in their headcase...but that seems a little Halloweeny.

  • They have a more or less literal human brain. It’s not programming dude, not mimicry. They created an electric mode matrix within a robotic body that could store all the information from the volunteer’s mind, be able to fit much more new information, and also effectively coordinate all mental commands and reactions as well as mimic the effects of hormones (because one thing a machine really can’t do anything but mimic is hormones)
