Made some progress on messing around trying to make it work. Select character During black screen, hit ESC Open settings menu Under video, set fps limit from 60fps to 30fps This let me get past the first loading screen and into the game, but then it crashed again. Will continue testing out things, but someone might get lucky. *Edit* Support update PLEASE NOTE: We’ve seen a number of reports of crashes on CPUs that fall below our stated minimum specs (E.G. AMD Phenom II series). We are investigating the issue and will attempt to fix the crash, but these CPUs are below minimum spec and are not officially supported. Hijacking my own comment just to say this, i'm the first guy to give the benefit of the doubt, if anyone has seen my other comments im sure it's obvious. But this is a garbage excuse from a AAA dev going for a worldwide release. Look at ANY recently successful PC games, you know what they have in common? They can be running on a potato plugged into an outlet and at the very least get IN GAME. We were better off being told only that Bungie would try to fix it or BEING TOLD BEFORE WE BOUGHT IT THAT A CETAIN SET OF CPU'S ARE INCOMPATIBLE, but saying it's our fault that we're using an older cpu? Unacceptable in the PC market, honestly. I'll be holding off on a refund for another day at the most, but if we cant get something like a progress report, time table, reasoning why the beta worked but the full release doesn't, or some kind of transparency, i'm more than sure a decent amount of people will be getting their money back. Thanks to @Explodium https://imgur.com/a/Ccs31 Some hope i guess

Perhaps they shouldn't change system requirements at the last minute or make it more clear that "even though it was fine during beta, we no longer support it" for whatever reason. Not a great start for this game, debating refunding but if it ends up working again i'll lose my preorder shit

  • It let's you keep going because it prevents the screen from being rendered so it doesn't crash.

  • I tried this, and if you just sit in the options menu it lets me load the second cut scene. If I watch the cut scene it crashes, but if I sit in the options menu and listen to it, it doesnt crash and I make it through the whole cut scene. I end up crashing though after this when I get forced out of the options menu. This game is coded very oddly

Been more than 4 hours trying to get something and a random guy actually comes with something faster than the company?... srsly just hire him for chief programmer, he has more future at it than the whole of bungo's current programming departament
