I am sadly one of those affected by this bait and switch by Bungie on the Phenom processors working on the BETA and not on launch. I am used to launch day issues so I am willing to give them a chance to fix it. If they don't however I am going to find every review spot I can to give a bad rating to them and this game. I figure I will start Friday evening since that is more than enough time to be without official response. I encourage others to do the same. The only way to shame a company is to create PR problems.
-
Agree. This is the worst behaviour a game company could be showing. And they're getting away with it.
-
is this going to be how it is or is it going to be patched to work with the other processors? I just bought this game for my friends birthday and found out he can play it. If it is what it is can i at least get a refund so i can buy him something he can play?
-
I replaced my phenom 965II with a FX 8150, and everything works. Didnt want to upgrade but oh well.
-
I looked into this as well however my motherboard will not support an upgrade to the FX even through BIOS update.

Edited by AXDracus: 10/25/2017 10:04:37 PMNever mind, don't even bother, I have refunded my copy and will not buy another product from "Bungie" again. I'll leave the comment up for you as a consistent reminder as how to not screw over your customer base and also how to avoid negative word-of-mouth feedback. All this hype and I could have went out and bought a $100 worth in Garbage cans at a "wal-Mart" and that would have been more useful that this trash. I have the same issue as many others, loads to the character screen, I created and select my character, it proceeded to play the first "cut-scene" then, once it had finished it just shut down, now I can only select a character and it loads and then proceeds to close without any error box nor a notification. If you can't patch it within a week I want a full refund as the beta played rather flawlessly on on High and was bearable on max settings. There is absolutely no chance I will buy a new computer nor upgrade pieces of it to play "your" game when I can play plenty of others that have equal or greater requirements on this computer just fine! I doubt I'll ever purchase from this company again... lol if I had a job I would go out right now and buy $100 worth of trash cans, use it to spell 'BUNGO' in a parking lot or a field, climb a nearby tower and take photos and post it all over the intarwebs with a detailed explanation of what bungie has managed to (not)achieve in this case.

Edited by Agrias: 10/25/2017 8:02:34 PMBungie please patch it so it'll work with older CPU's. To upgrade my CPU to get Destiny 2 to work I have to buy a new, good CPU ($200-$300), compatible motherboard ($100) and new compatible RAM ($200). So basically I have to spend around $600 to be able to play this game. It is misleading to have the beta work, get our hopes up, have us preorder and then have the game incompatible with a numerous amount of systems on launch. If at least this was known before the release we would have considered just gettting it on PS4 or upgrading our computers beforehand. Just ridiculous. Patch it

Dealing with the same problem. Phenom II x6 1100T is my cpu. Ive considered getting a sidegrade from an FX 6300 but no reason to spend money on a processor that would create only marginal performance upgrades. Played the beta flawlessly and figured I would be in good shape. CPU may be older, but it's a damn champ that has shouldered through plenty of current gen AAA releases. Plus, the fact that other devs have released games with similar issues and then fixed them makes me wonder why they keep creating the same problem. Really frustrating. Not even sure if I can get a refund at this point thanks to getting a key from Green Man Gaming :/

Day 2 - No new info ... cmon guys

Entire PC crashes within 5-30 mins of play of Destiny 2. It is the only game this happens with. Ran smooth during the beta, now it is unplayable. All drivers/OS up to date. Uninstalled and Reinstalled fresh copy of Destiny 2. Tried scan and repair from Blizzard launcher. No frame dips. Runs smooth, until it crashes. Screen will freeze then the entire computer shuts off and reboots. Stress tested gpu, and it's fine. Ran CHKDSK and it was all good as well. Do you have an AMD Phenom CPU? If so, that is the problem. Bungie messed up and people with Phenom CPUs are unable to play.
-
not just that i have a AMD FX i played the game all night now i get on everytime i drop in i crash i didnt do enything just stoped playing for a bit.

ребята, я с вами...

I fully expect issues with a game at a launch on a new platform. The issue is you're treating us like mushrooms. It's appalling.

Edited by SwolebroT800: 10/25/2017 7:12:33 PMDude, calm down. You got your response okay? They already told you "they are actively issues." What more do you want? Us console players have been flamming them for the last few weeks and we haven't even seen a Bungie response.
-
At least past through the character selection screen 🤬
-
Technically they said "We are actively issues" which sounds like an insult lol.
-
This. If we could just get some type of feedback from the Devs, then we could all feel a bit better. Being left in the dark is ludicrous.
-
You mean like console players have for the last few weeks? This game is trash. It's worse than the first one!
-
Oh it's not just that, we're being kept in the dark and fed bullshit.
-
