Taking stuff away at the end of a season? Really?

Well, I've "heard" some fuzz about stuff being taken away at the end of a season and the introduction of new items, from the twitchcon. Don't know about other people but for me that's somewhat concerning. Let's tale the "auras" for instance, I don't care about them at all, since we know beforehand that they disappear at the weekly reset. I can't do the raid every week (heck, I yet to do it for the first time!), so why bother? But about, lets say the sparrows or ships, if Bungie takes away the ones I've already got that would make me mad. That would be a very bad way to create loot hunt desire (why on earth to grind for stuff that will vanish). Now, maybe they are referring to taking away stuff from the pool of possible items from the previous season (not taking away already earned stuff from players) and introducing new stuff, and if so, then I'm okay. People who have been playing for longer will have items to distinguish them from new players. I just feel like voicing this concern before things rollout, rather than complaining afterwards. The details are too blurry as of right now. In other words I would like some clarification from Bungie, regarding how they are planning to implement the new season(s). How about you guys? Edit: found the twitchcon stream uploaded to YouTube. You guys are right, they did mention specifically how the loot will be handled (old vs new stuff) so this is a definite answer to my concern. As a side note, I would like to point out the importance to keep players informed, this kind of speculation is not good for neither party. Yes I know, they're probably secretive because things were not decided yet. Sharing only one power of a road map has its consequences, specially when trust is lacking. Thanks for all of you kind enough to jump in and share useful info, as for the trollers, well, keep on trolling... you'll eventually achieve what you're aiming for...

  • They aren’t taking things off you, the loot pool will change in each season. So you’ve got that season to collect those items as they won’t come back in the following season... that’s what I read from it anyways.
