i do not like faction rallies
personally, i originally thought faction rallies were a great idea,
but now, i only see it as a dead orbit loop; where dead orbit will win everytime,
not only because of the immense amount of players who support it, but how the weapons are quite good.
i believe this is unfair for those who support future war cult and new monarchy.
i also believe new monarchy has no chance of winning due to the minor amount of players who support it, like myself.
edit: i seriously want faction rallies to become a regular thing, like it starts again right after victory week. i find it hard not being able to level up new monarchy. bungie pls

2 RepliesGrinding faction ranks to get to 25 and get an exotic class item was one of the LONG, but most satisfying grinds in D1. No matter what, I was always putting rep into that grind if I was just messing around. SO, bummed they took that out :(

If dead orbit wins again then it's a sign for Bungie to offer up a carrot on a stick next time for the other two factions. Yes I supported dead orbit because the FWC weapon sucked. If next rally FWC offers a killer shotgun or sword, I will support them. I do agree with some of the other posts that the rally needs a tweek. Not a wholesale facelift like Queen's Wrath got, but an adjustment. Something to make it "special". Like powerful gear for collecting 20 packages. Something to make participation rewarding.

All weapons suck. Me and my clan joined dead orbit cause we thought they would have sweet shaders like in D1.... oh how we were wrong. NM will be the next time... oh wait, we are all at level cap and theres no point in playing anymore.

So the Factions should be available all the time and have a means to contribute like before. So you can hand in your EDZ tokens but you get less rep than if you hand them to Devram. Perhaps the economies could change on a weekly bases, this week Titan tokens are worth a little more but Nessus tokens are worth less. Then when we have the rally we get the proper Faction tokens which are worth the full (usual) token amount. But the means for getting them needs to me more interesting. Like a Faction Strike playlist with the standard strikes but with different encounters and enemies, maybe much tougher but with 4 or even 6 players. A special Faction Crucible playlist that has crazy stuff like Rift, CTF and odd-ball. Crazy public events with more enemies and challenges. And maybe, just maybe, a slightly simpler version of the raid with looser, easier but more fun mechanics and (dare I say it) matchmaking. Now thats a week I'd love to play. EDIT: And the ability to buy a selection of the available gear, similar to Iron Banner for that week only.

Last rally, I supported DO and FWC. Next time, I will support NM.

Does it matter who wins the faction rally? I set one guardian per faction and will rotate them each time.

2 RepliesNext time use all 3 characters & pick a different faction for each. It boggles my mind that we’re this far into the lifespan of the Destiny “universe” & people still don’t create & use 3 characters.

The trick to that is have 3 characters and put 1 on each faction problem solved. The game itself sucks though n there's no fixing that. Well there is, but, we know it aint happening anytime soon. N personally speaking, new monarchy shaders was by far the best in this past faction rallie. But in the upcoming one in season 2, it looks like Dead Orbit isn't dead anymore. The black n white on the shaders look amazing. Flip side to that is, will we even be around playing this boring game when that comes out? I will but most likely from pure boredom n shader hunting. That about it. D2 is just a time killer game to me now n I'm barely on it and i do have some time on my hands to play. That says alot. I turn the game on, fly to the tower, exhale deeply n then sign off lately. Been catching up on Netflix shows so i guess there's a good side to D2 being so garbage right now. Oh n gym time is back. Slacked off for about 3 weeks but I'm back on track.

Nobody likes them, the items are shit and always way before a light level to be useful for infusion just like 99 percent of the rewards even from the weekly challenges.

I was dead orbit all year one on two characters. Destiny 2 - I'm sick of dead orbit and royally pissed it was a "faction rally" I want my new mon shader ffs.

Just for the fact that a vast majority will support DO, imma go HAM on fwc packages the next time faction rally comes around. I only did 50 packages last time, I'll do 300 next. Just on principle, not for rewards.

1 ReplyEdited by LoneWolf12923: 10/21/2017 7:14:06 AMI think Bungie got this idea from the massive influx of people back in Destiny 1 who complained about the factions not really feeling like they were at each other's throats while in the lore they supposedly were. There were some great ideas the community came up with, some even including hunting guardians aligned to other factions in the middle of patrol maps. I specifically remember Deej saying something about that to the effect of "I'd rather fight Atheon (D1's final boss in the first raid) single-handedly than face some of you guardians out on the field. So they did this to at least make the players feel like the factions actually are all against each other. The issue is, as atated, that yes, everyone seems to be siding with the space-goths, which I cannot stand at all. The token system and everything is just stupid. And really? It's all based on which faction gets the most packages? That's really really lame. I don't even understand why people pick Dead Orbit. Their weapons are plain and boring. Literally, they are the typical gunmetal, militaristic guns. I don't understand what's so exciting about that. But what I really really cannot stand about them is their lore and stance on the world. They want to abandon the Last City, the Traveler, and the entire solar system in hopes to find somewhere new to live. In Destiny 1 I felt like it just went against everything a guardian is for. Abandoning The Traveler, especially. The one thing that chose you to defend it, the very source of your powers and the very reason you were brought back from the dead, and yet somehow, guardians actually want to support that? The campaign of Destiny 2 and it's plot makes this logic even worse. They literally just want to abandon everything your guardian fought and worked so hard to restore to the world. TL;DR: I can understand guardians siding with both New Monarchy and Future War Cult. But I cannot understand why people want to side with the space-goths. Their loot is terrible, bland, and boring and their thoughts on the solution to restoring and ensuring the survival of humanity completely contradicts everything a guardian is and why they even exist, especially considering the events that transpired during the campaign of Destiny 2

Damn shame really; they had the only weapon even remotely interesting during the last faction rally. Full auto sidearm with HCR, as there isn't one in the game currently. Nope, count on fools to support Cptn Goth with his terrible dark shaders and worthless scout rifle.

I bet by the second rally those prize weapons will be in the regular loot pool and one of the weapons in the pool the first time around will become the prize. That would be the more likely scenario but hopefully they just make a new weapon for the prize and still put the previous prize into the pool and so on.
