The fact that armor ornaments and strike specific loot are not in the game already is a joke. The gear in destiny 2 right now is so bland ,dull and lifeless without the fancy armor ornament effects on them . Compare the age of triumph sets, to the new trash raid set we got in destiny 2 or any other armor set in the game. The age of triumph sets should be the standard for armor sets in destiny 2 ,on wards and its the ornaments that really give them the wow factor.

Looks like they listened now hopefully they start doing this stuff for raid armor etc. too
-
Bungie talks about season 2- search on YouTube
-
I don't even understand why this was removed. What reason did Bungie see to remove it?
-
Totally agree where is my fire effect on my banner armor, or maybe change that fire to arc, but dam gimme something this D2 armor is 💩.
-
Every reward in this stupid game is cosmetic, and you want more cosmetic crap? lol
-
And bring back full body cosmetic shaders. Exactly like they were used in D1!
-
I hear you and I agree totally but I just want some meaningful pve content before nice cosmetic stuff.
-
Went back and got the Age of triumph chest armour piece in D1 today. Going back to chase Hunter VoG gauntlets tonight and more ornaments rather than play D2. ;)

Edited by OffcerBigDik: 10/20/2017 12:15:43 AMI showed one of my buddies who has only played D2, some of the AOT sets from D1Y3. He said, "Dude... wtf happened, these are badass!" I don't understand the design decision going from amazing looking raid sets to the basic bitch looking Leviathan sets. When I heard that the first raid in D2 was going to be Cabal focused, I was expecting the raid sets to be bulky, heavily armored, militaristic themed raid gear. What we got was sterile, plain, and boring with some gold sprinkled on top.
-
At this point screw the ornaments, give me more meaningful gear with perks. Mods should be supplemental to the perks gear should already have imo. Then give me all the ornaments you want.

I agree with this. The armor does look like it was a step back. I wonder if they are doing this to save those good armor for later, I don't know. But honestly, Destiny 1's Year of Triumph should be the standard for the armor. Have Strike Set armor with Strike Ornaments, Crucible ornaments for their armor and so forth. That would be a step forward for the armor. I was surprised to not see iron banner armor not be given the love that Destiny 1 did for them. Like back in the Rise of Iron how you can have you armor have fire. That was a HUGE step forward. I do think they did take a step back for a safe net, which I don't agree with. The point is to explore and try new things like they did in Year 3 for Destiny 1. Although, not all armor is bad. I give them that, like the Warlock's armor set for Optimacy. It reminds me so much of VOG, the helmet especially. Even if they take some influences from Destiny 1's armor would not be a bad idea and simply expand upon that. I appreciate that Bungie wants to expand the ideas for armor, and maybe play it safe with it. I simply say they should step back into Destiny 1's armor and try to use those armor for the ground level. From there, try to build something new but still paying tribute to the old. Something Bungie is known for in Halo no doubt, especially from Halo 1 to Halo 2. New armor, but respected the iconic look from Halo 1. I think that is as specific as I can put it. I honestly think they are playing it safe, but they shouldn't have to. Although not all armor is bad, I give them that. They made the titans more like titans, hunter more like hunters and so forth. I just think they should use some of the old armor and change it up to look new and different like I said before. I don't know if I put this in good words as I happen to maybe over-explain by a whole new degree. Hopefully someone else can help me put this in very very simple terms, please.

The Prestige armor should look like the Age of Triumph ornamented sets instead of the Normal mode gear with a small glow.
-
Add it to the laundry list of crap they screwed up.
-
Yeah I really was stoked with the Wotm ornaments from AOE like pieces falling off bungie nalled that
-
Yeah this game sucks
-
The fact that raid armor has no benefit in the raid at all bothers me.
-
You, too, are delirious.

I have no proof of this... However, I expect these options will be back later down the road. Much like the vanilla destiny, we started out with nothing this time around. In other words, in September you were shoved off of a cabal ship with nothing to your name but the damaged armor you were wearing. Here it is just shy of two months later and you expect to have glowing armor that you obtained from defeating hive gods, vex lords, and fallen leaders? Why? All you have done lately is beat the leader of the red legion and the emperors robot (maybe). These sets will come again, after time has past, the city has been rebuilt, and you have once again proven your worth to the vanguard. Also, if they gave you the sets now...what gear would satisfy you until D3 came out? ...Lol

Bring back chroma!! I for one, loved those.
-
Why they are out of the game in the first place? And they have remove many other stuff from the game WITH NO -blam!-ING REASON!
-
I feel like after TTK, there was absolutely no communication between Bungie and the Live Team that made Rise of Iron entirely on their own. EVERYTHING most fans loved, was in ROI, and yet, Bungie just completely disregards anything on that.
-
So long as I can still use shaders.
-
Armor is so bland right now!
-
The ornaments come built in now bro. Both trials and prestige raid has glowing gear
-
That woild be cool with me
