Hello, my first post. So I just recently got the game a few weeks ago and I only play the crucible to get the weekly legendary armor rewards to power up my character. Every game I play I have random players on my team who go against a squad of partied up people who have the same clan tag. I just played 5 matches in a row and I played against people who were party up EVERY time and got absolutely slaughtered. I really dread playing the crucible because this always happens but I force myself to play it just to get the milestone. It really is not fun at all and Idk why the matchmaking system can't just pair parties up with parties and random players with other random, it's 2017 why is it like this? Absolutely stupid. I really only have 1-2 days week to play this game so I can't always search with my friends in crucible, but solo players should not be punished for searching solo, it's an absolute slaughterfest and I go negative every time, it is not fun at all, change your matchmaking system so it's fair to all players!!

This is why we needed those shotguns and snipers and stickies that people endlessly complained about. With a pure primary meta, you get a plague of teamshooting, and the team takes zero casualties so they can keep doing it endlessly. Had we had shotties or stickies available, we could take a teamshooter with us, send them back to a respawn point far away from their team. Now, they stay together. And the casualties keep mounting.

If you bought the game only for crucible then you messed up. Destiny 1 you could solo queue and be a team carry ( I did it a number of times). In D2 solo queueing is like being a masochist.
-
Honestly when I solo que I tend to do competive it just seems to me most teams go to quickplay thats where I go with my team not to be a dick but just to have some chill fun with friends I find competive to be way less sweaty most of the time

Playing with clan, A-ok. Playing solo and i say to myself "I hate this." Never happened in D1. SAD!

Replace "Solo searching Crucible is unbearable and" with Destiny 2

Edited by Racebum: 10/18/2017 8:54:33 PMIt's the high latency sbmm which has really turned me off. Matches where your shots don't count. People run straight through Rockets. People warp across the screen. Game played great when the game first launched. Now that the skill-based bulshit is in effect people are being brought from way too far apart and the games are multiple frames apart depending on who screen you're looking at. Completely unfair On top of that if you join solo you're pretty much always going to face stacked teams. Making the host Advantage all that much more critical

They already addressed this in a different thread

Agree - super bad experience for solo que. Getting to where I keep my eye on the team as it forms while in que so that I can leave if it looks like another slaughterfest or if it appears my connection has ‘mysteriously’ become unstable.

Invite the kids that do well or stomp you that don't already have a fireteam. It's quite easy to do and you don't have to talk to them. that or learn to manage/carry randoms better.

I mostly play pvp solo. I simply leave matchmaking or return to orbit if I am matched against a team of 3 or 4. With D2 having a slower TTK and hence team work / team shots being the meta, players are at a huge advantage when being in a fire team. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.

Apparently all these people agree with you https://imgur.com/gallery/C9utE

Play d1. 👍

I agree. Awful experience.

True, everything is much more Fun with friends! Like crucible Challenges 🙈

A couple days ago I was playing crucible, 1st game-full team of four all in a clan.2nd match-full team of four all in a clan. 3rd match-late game against 4 people all in the same clan. They just need to make a solo game mode, but I doubt they will since they don’t even let pick regular game modes
-
That's why we have friends

Edited by BLAIED: 10/18/2017 9:21:40 PMRe Q. Whenever I get in a bad rotation of premises or bad games I drop back out to orbit after match and load tower and reQ. This shuffles me into different groupings and I do it till I find one that I have a good connection and player pool then I stay in that q for how ever many hames I wanna play. Works great
-
A group of 4 doesn't mean they are going to win, you can still stomp players so long as your team mates aren't gold fish. I solo queued for iron banner and only got stomped maybe 3 times at most. It's luck of the draw and skill level my friend. Sometimes you get trials Sherpas, and sometimes you get people with one hand on their controller, and one hand whining on the forums or picking their nose. Obligatory git gud scrub. (I'm sorry, it had to be said)
-
Idk I only really saw what you are talking about in I. B.
-
I hear what you're saying but it would take forever to MM. Not many players playing any more.
-
Getting matchmade into a game against a clan stack is always a tough place to find yourself, but I think about it a different way. I'm not caught in a game with them. They're caught in a game with me. >;) In all seriousness though, if you know full well the possible challenges you may face in the crucible, then the onus is on you to do whatever you need to overcome, or else be overcome. If you can't work together adequately with the players you're matched with, then find a fireteam to play with. Stomping clanstacks with nothing but randoms at my side is a great pleasure of mine, and I would be remiss if it were taken away from me.

Edited by Lord Yoink N Bag: 10/18/2017 1:02:16 PMI solo crucible. I love it! I rule Quickplay on my hunter. Just yesterday i went 11.0 with 22 kills. Shaxx told me to take it easy on the other team as I was slaying everyone left and right. Theres a great youtube video by CammyCakes out that will help solo players with great tips on how to survive in this team biased crucible of D2. Great info there.

I have played both ways in the crucible Yes I have gone in with my clan members and wiped a team before but I’ve also gone against 4 randoms who have kicked our butts Same with when my clan aren’t online I have gone in solo and got matched up against a clan and got mercy ruled but I’ve also got matched with some good randoms who as a team helped beat a full fireteam It doesn’t matter if you solo queue or not The main thing is to play as a team for instance when I get matched up with randoms when we spawn I wait a second and watch how my teammates are acting if they look like they don’t have a clue how to go about playing the match then I generally lead the pack and start off running at which point most randoms will follow. Or if I find that when we spawn in one of our players is naturally confident and takes of running I tend to follow their lead and stick by their side. Worse case is if you get a couple who just run off in different directions at that point just try to stay with one of them so hopefully you will end up with 2 & 2 If your getting wiped 5 games in a row then either you are having some bad luck and getting people who are better then you and or your randoms or your getting paired with randoms who really don’t understand teamwork in which case all I can say is keep trying

Really cause I just didn't and it went fine, I got in a 1v4 and only lost by 15 points. 8 of which was off my former team mates. I had fun, this one douche t bagged me so I killed the -blam!- outta him and tbagged him hehe. Get some skill before you complain pal, im not even good enough to do Trials and win 1st game but I can solo que. Try just following someone around instead yoloing alone into the enemies bullet funnel
-
There is a method but you need to listen and anticipate your enemy. Turn off the terrible music, turn off vibration. Leave your look sensitivity at default (until it feels too slow). Turn chat way down and you can hear someone sprinting or jumping across the map. I only solo and wreck shop until I run out of ammo....
-
Personally, I enjoy the challenge. Keeping my efficiency above a 2.0 has been fun. As a fellow solo player I can see where you are coming from though. Just give me rumble!
