Purely due to the way D2 functions now design wise, and the fact that the Defender class as a whole was reworked to become the Sentinel we have now. WoD cant have so many options now that it's only a single perk on a skill column, as opposed to the focal point of the class.

    They -blam!-ed the entire subclass system, there was nothing wrong with it in the first place, now you have two linear paths with no diversity.

  • Yeah, i dont disagree there. Really would have liked the system from d1, but i guess they wanted to streamline the process. I think it would have been better if each subclass had 3 skill paths though, as opposed to only 2 which feels rather limiting
