What are the odds? No, seriously, someone please tell me. #feelsbadman

Yeah this game sucks!
-
90 pacages for some Hunter nessus boots.

Either you were very unlucky with pure RNG or Bungie has implemented a weighted RNG that actually lowers the odds of getting that one item you need in order to keep you playing. Either way, this is probably a good argument for implementation of "smart" RNG that after a certain amount of grinding starts to weight RNG in the player's favor to obtain that missing item. Otherwise it seems too many players are concluding the event going away angry, when I think they really want their players to end the event satisfied. All that said, I also don't think someone should realistically expect to get all of the armor in 10 games either, so there has to be a reasonable middle. But 66 packages doesn't seem reasonable at all.

What's that? 150 hours? Jesus kid, that's almost like having a full time job for 30 days that you no life'd in a week? Take the f'n catheter out and go outside.

Lol I only played enough IB to get one package and got a helmet
-
Someone had a post that said mean was 24 Could be worse You could have married my ex who decided she wants to be celibate after the marriage
-
11 packages between 2 characters and got 2 helms per character. The only other piece of armor I got was a Warlock bond.
-
30 packages total and I got no helm or pulse drops.

Edited by Boom Shalock: 10/18/2017 3:01:05 PMLet's do some math here: 66 packages means roundabout 1320 tokens. 1320 tokens minus all daily challenges tokens means 1215 tokens through gameplay. Let's add some winning probabilities: 100% wins means ~243 matches played. 75% wins means ~286 matches played. 66% wins means ~304 matches played. 50% wins means ~347 matches played. 33% wins means ~405 matches played. 0% wins means ~608 matches played You probably have been somewhere in between 75% and 33% wins. Let's further assume, like most of us, you had to play 90% of the games with the 8 minute timer running out and the rest of the games you had 2 minutes left in average. So you played 36 to 51 hours in a total lifetime of 168 hours. Just sayin'... it's up to you, what feels worth: a) Not receiving a virtual item in a computer game, despite the fact you invested so much effort in it. b) Investing so much effort in a computer game. P. S. It took me 15 packages to receive a whole Warlock set.

Now that Bungie's seen this, you can bet the odds will be at least 1 in 67 for the next IB.
-
Lol I got it on my first package. In fact I got 3 of them.
-
48 on my hunter, no cloak. I guess it gives me something to play for next time around, but that's a pretty crappy goal, to say the least. I think I liked it better when we could only get 2 weapons and 2 pieces of armor. It made more sense.. but seeing as though perks are static, it would make that pretty disappointing.. who would play more if they got the only available items? And there is the problem, they create the illusion that they are giving us more, yet it is only to get us to play more, and fluff their numbers so they can say people played it more, and we did.. but nobody really seems happy about it. It seems to have only made people more irritated.

got mine for the hunter last iron banner match i played
-
Or you can only open 10 packages because you can only win 1 out of 10 games so you have to play 100 games as a solo player instead of 40.
-
I would say the odds are exactly the way Bungie wants it
-
When you get 2 full sets from 23 packages. Feels bad lmao
-
So happy i stopped at 1. Fck this dumpster fire
-
16 full warlock set and all guns besides sidearm
-
Same here, no Titan helm. Screw IB.
-
1 IB package - duplicate items. I made my decision after that
-
I got two full sets x1 for warlock and x1 for hunter after 35 packages and I thought that was one hell of a grind. I don't want to see another control match again. Normal drops shouldn't be in the loot pool for banner, a proper system of purchasing what you actually want via tokens would make the banner so much better.
-
Broken RNG. I had every weapon and all Titan armor in 24 packages. Was chatting with a dude that had over 100 packages and was missing a helmet as well. Tokens should be auxiliary to IB loot drops in the crucible, not the sole source of loot.
-
Never got my titan mark or the chest piece
-
Absolutely love this! This is how RNG is supposed to work. If you are complaining, you are probably a fan of fixed perks on weapons and all this other casual BS. Reminds me of the Mythoclast.

Do people not realize that in D1 IB we could only get I think one armor piece and two weapons per each IB? They are throwing gear at you in D2. So what! You didn't get that one piece of armor you needed. IB will be back in one month. Deal with it and quit crying. People have it so much easier in D2.
