Some Recommendations: Smaller loot pool Make duplicate rewards impossible. At least a small chance to receive IB loot after match. Any of those would be nice. Let's just break this down compared to D1, shall we? This is in terms of featured content per IB weekend. D2: Large loot pool of 8 weapons and 5 armors making it tougher if you are looking for specific loot, or trying to collect it all. D1: 2 weapons and 2 armors with the options being different each IB (ghosts were also available but were always extra rewards). D2: IB-themed loot only available as rank up rewards every 20 tokens (2 tokens per challenge, 3 challenges per day, 15 bonus tokens for completing all 3, all once per day, per character. Tokens otherwise earned per match: 2 per loss, 3 per tie, 5 per win) D1: IB-themed loot possible from: a) post-match rewards (usually based on current IB rank) b) weekly rank-up packages (per character). Several variations of this throughout the game's life, eventually removing rank-up rewards completely. c) weekly bounty rewards (per character) A couple variations of this. d) purchased from IB vendor based on rank The system for D2 would have been acceptable if they had offered the same amount of loot options as D1. As it was this time around, it would take a minimum of 260 tokens (460 total if you want full armor sets for each class) to get all of the possible rewards. Of course, that would be a pretty impressive stroke of luck. Personally, I managed 28 reputation packages. The gear I ended up with: All weapons except the Pulse rifle (the only weapon I wanted 😥) All warlock armor Titan boots Hunter gloves 14/23 possible loot drops. I played countless hours to achieve this. Someone who only has a couple hours to play every day (or even less) would have to be pretty lucky to get what they want out of this loot system. Especially if they only have 1 character to do the challenges on each day.
