Don't get bent out of shape about all the snowflakes on the forums. They were here in D1 and they are still here in D2. And as much as they say they are gonna leave, we all know they won't, because we aren't that lucky!
Game is great. Vastly improved on a lot of issues that plagued D1. I've made 6 characters so far and have enjoyed them all. Planets are nice to look at, lots of stuff to do between world chests, lost sectors, public events, and so on. PvP is more balanced across every aspect. Now, on to the things that need some love.
1. Remove Non Event Specific gear from Event Specific loot pool. This goes for faction rallies, IB, and any other special event that you guys decide to put out. I wouldn't mind getting 3 IB chest pieces in a row if I knew that I wasn't gonna get 5 Red Mambas right after it. Or turning in the 30 package limit to NM and NOT getting the hands or cloak because I got 4 mambas and 5 widows bites. Eventually, with a limited loot pool, I'll get what I've been grinding for in THAT SPECIFIC event, which should be the goal.
2. Heroic Public Event Sets/Loot. I've completed over 400 heroic public events and I STILL enjoy doing them, BUT it would be awesome to have a chance (1% or whatever value you decide) to get that super sweet piece of armor or whatever that only comes from the heroic events. Make it rare as hell and we will grind for it.
3. Strike Specific Loot. Same reason as above. Gives us something to grind for.
4. More options with mods. I love the static rolls as well as the new mod system, but having more options would be nice. Example : I don't currently use ANY Handling mods of any type. I get more use out of other options, however, if there was a kinetic mod slot on a weapon that allowed me to give snapshot/faster ADS to a weapon, I'd probably be more inclined to pair that with a Handling mod on my armor. The combinations and possibilities is what makes the mod system great, so give us more! But I also understand that the idea of perks being mods also presents a whole boatload of balance issues, but again, more mod options would be great, how ever they get implemented.
5. Snipers in PvP. I think most heavy weapons are in a good spot. Fusions/Shotguns/Swords/G-Launchers are all in a really good place. Snipers however, need less flinch. A lot less flinch if they are ever gonna be viable.
6. Nightstalker Tether. The huntards can complain all they want, but the only real super that is currently broken in the game is the NS' tether. The time-to-tether is way too long. Example: a Titan using Fist of Havoc, can KILL YOUR TETHER with slams, before it goes off and hits them. That's a problem. The delay between the tether hitting the ground and the tether activating on an enemy needs to be MUCH faster. The tether can also go through walls/objects sometimes, that shouldn't happen either.
7. Give Raid Gear, Raid Specific traits/boosts. I love the raid. As a matter of fact, I think it's on the same level as Wrath. Hell of a lot of fun. But there should be raid specific traits that differentiate raid armor, from other world armor. Just like the gear sets from previous raids. Example of Perk : Does more damage to Skulls in Void Room of Calus encounter, or each skull killed grants 3 rounds of ammo to the magazine. Something specific to the raid or raid encounters that we will not only WANT to grind for, but will also HELP us in the raid.
Nightfall Modifiers. The timers are awesome! And the few modifiers we have had so far are awesome as well. So much better than the NF's in D1. However, we need MORE. Both on the negative side AND the positive. Having an element burn as well as some other hindrance in addition to shooting anomalies or cycle weapons. The more modifiers in the game and more modifiers allotted at the same time presents more opportunities for unique combinations and more opportunities for varying playstyles and skill sets to shine.
TLDR: Read it Bungie! Soak it up! :D
