Don't know why the people who discover these exploits just can't keep their mouth shut. Its like the discover something for the first time and think they are going to get recognition and become immortalized on Reddit and the Bungie Forums. Why not just wait the extra week to tell everyone? It was obvious the Heroic version was coming soon. They delayed Hard Mode Crota's End for the same reasons.
Because it might get them three more subscribers on You-"I desperately want to be internet famous"-Tube. Most videos these days are clickbait nonsense anyways, so I'm sure when somebody finds a genuine exploit it's a race to get it up first. Players that take the game seriously but don't stream are probably more likely to report the bug in private. Not as many people as you'd think will keep it to themselves to try to gain a long term advantage from it, although I'm sure there ar some. In a perfect world, they'd never be made public until they were patched. Unfortunately, there is so little content for streamers and YouTubers to put out there that I'm sure it feels like -blam!-ing Christmas when something like this pops up.
People that found it found it three weeks ago.
The exploit has been known for a while now bungie should've found a fix earlier
