Won’t be playing prestige because haven’t done normal raid yet, because can’t get a group. Was under levelled the first week so got left behind. I know there are some helpful players out there but the amount of selfish lfg posts is unbelievable. Surely when you have completed the raid 20+ times your ego should allow you to carry people through the raid because you should damn well be able to. You have all the gear, you should know the encounters inside out. What’s the aim? I’m not concerned for myself, I’m a decent raider, ive watched vids and know the mechanics, I will form my own group of noobs if I have to and get them through. It’s just sad how this games community won’t help others (I know there are a few exceptions). Guided games for the raid is a total failure. I left a search running for an hour the other day and was eventually timed out and had to start again. How many players get guided through the raid in a day bungie? If it’s more than a few hundred I will be astonished.

Just because someone completed the raid doesn’t mean they have to help people who haven’t.....

Correct, but if you are posting a LFG looking for 305 only with 20 completions on the raid then who looks bad, the player saying you NEED to help, or the one who only wants to raid with those who have complete it 20 times?

We can help, not right now though, my friend stayed up all night playing fortnite and he's passed out and probably won't be on for a bit. Try the guided raid. Yeah it's going to take at least 30 minutes to find a team, and you should look at the guides online for each encounter before doing anything. I agree, there are some seriously aggro douchebags playing the game looking to fill that last spot. But every now and then you'll find some friendly players. It takes patience and time. (Man I miss that weapon).

Well people ask for whatever they want with reason. Yes, they have completed it multiple times and could bring a whole newbie crew through. However, they will NOT beat Calus. And that's the point of the posting. Because you cannot carry people in this raid. Which is great! Because it forces you to take care of yourself and learn how to play the patterns better. So the raid won't become like Crota. Wrath was on the same track which is why only solid players liked it.

I disagree with the will NOT beat Calus part. If you are carrying a newbie team, whether they read guides or not, it is generally a good rule of thumb to EXPLAIN whats going to happen. Me and my buddy did this for a team who had read guides and we fared fairly well.

Have you tried making the group and asking for help rather than looking for a group made by other people? I always ask for experience but i have also been in with new players before and it is like having teeth pulled without anaesthetic. Guided games is another option if you have half hour or so to sit in a queue. Like other said, find a clan. There are plenty around looking for members.

Maybe find a good clan that likes to achieve milestones quickly.

You have to just grind milestones. Besides, whenever a hard raid releases, people like you will be able to find each other easier and reach the necessary light for harder activities quicker.
