The players going for Worlds first on the Prestige difficulty aren't going to cheese an encounter anyways. These are elite raiders, 99% of which who steam. Plus the time it takes to cheese an encounter takes more time to set up then to simply do the encounter normally. The player base that is cheesing the Raid is the casual player base that can't complete the Raid as designed and have average or below skills. So why even push it back a week? This isn't the only thing people are pissed about either. There is no incentive to do activities. Trials gear, Raid gear, hell even faction specific gear, doesn't have unique perks for playing in specific activities like Crucible or social spaces like the EDZ. Same things goes with the weapons... There is no reason to grind for that perfect role on a weapon... Oh you got the Better Devils hand cannon? Congrats because you, the next 10 you get, and every other player in Destiny 2 are going to be the same. Weapon perks like Dragonfly should be perks we can equip to weapons as well as armor specific perks like faster revives on teammates or the chance to generate an orb when killing Cabal as well. You want us to collect all this static gear to allow for more customization amongst Gaurdians, but then we can't even collect all the gear because we have no room in our inventory or vault too. Our Vaults are being taken up by Shaders because we can only hold 50, yet you have 60+ in the game as well as mods, weapon and gear sets we are trying to collect, exotic ornaments, etc. I have three different characters (like I'm sure most Hardcore players do) and am sitting at 180+/200 vault space because there is so much random stuff that I can't hold on to that I have to put away. You want us to collect stuff, so then add in a kiosk or something that allows us to collect everything, see what we have collected/are still missing, and pull that gear out whenever we want. Found an EDZ Titan Helmet? Dismantle it if you want, but allow us to go back to Devrim Kay to repurchase it if we desire. Found Better Devils and accidentally dismantled it? Go to the Tower, access a Legendary Kiosk, and find it in a list to aquire it. After three years of Destiny 1, you guys listened to the community and took many steps in the right direction to improve upon and make the game better. However, when Destiny 2 came out it's like all that went out the window and you took 3 steps back to cater to the more casual player, when your main player base is the hardcore player. Someone who spends 30 hours a week on Destiny 2 should feel like there time is being rewarded greater then someone who logs in and plays for only 2 hours a day. And don't even get me started about Adventures as there is absolutely no reason to do them after a certain point... I'm tired of RNG from vendors too. I really enjoy how the Trials Vendors are set up. You get X amount of wins and you get to choose your reward from three different options when you level them up. Why can't other vendors be like this? If I'm not turning in engrams to Devrim Kay and instead tokens then why can't I choose my reward? Why can't I pick and choose to build the Legend I want to become, or have we forgotten about that? It's one thing finding engrams and turning them into the Cryptarch for random rewards, but planet Vendors is another topic. Should I talk about reskinned gear too? The common auto rifle Pariah you get in the start of the campaign is simply a Scathelock. Your exotic ship is simply a reskin of another common or legendary ship simply with a new paint job or light on it and there is nothing exotic about them. Faction Armor like Dead Orbit is just reskinned EDZ armor with the DO logo slapped on it. Meditations are simply reskinned campaign missions with more difficult enemies. Etc., etc., etc... I could literally go on and on like I'm sure other HARDCORE Destiny players could, but I'm not the type of person you all at Bungie are listening to right now. Instead you can hear all the casual players complaining, the player base you're trying to sucker in to playing your game, so you're listening to them instead. There is so much to work with and improve upon in Destiny 2. As some Reddit user posted, "Destiny 2 is miles long, but only feet deep." If significant improvements, content, and a reason to continuously comeback to the world of Destiny 2 aren't implemented into the game soon then you're main player base is going to dwindle, move on, and find another game. Oh, and before I forget, give us something to spend all of these useless Legendary shards on... Wreck out.

  • Yknow, i wish i could get weapon preorders from the gunsmith, but nope bungo reverted a lot of TTK and onwards quality of life improvements, D2 is like a barebones D1 improvement Infusion is a mess and weird No more shader kiosk No more ships / sparrows kiosk (wtf bungie) No more Eva Lavante to buy shaders One time use shaders Raid/trials/IB gear don't have one of a kind perks Locked subclass nodes, can't mix&match Terrible teamshooting crucible, that -blam!-ing Uriel's Gift has no recoil, high impact and the range of a sniper rifle and is hell asf OP broken should get nerfed Yellow bar major minibosses from the story are pathetically weak compared to Strike bosses or heroic event bosses and the random post heroic event bosses who spawn sometimes afterwards The list goes on

  •
The player base that is cheesing the Raid is the casual player base that can't complete the Raid as designed and have average or below skills
Or people just want to get it done and move on to doing other stuff ? Cheesing isn't always about peoples skills, some people just want to exploit flaws to get work done

  • What do you mean toxic? I've played Destiny 1 since it's Beta, watched it grow, and turn into a beautiful game... That took 3 years though. And when Bungie tells us all these things, feeds are hopes and dreams on what Destiny 2 is going to be, when we finally get our hands on it the game is nothing like we imagined it would be. This isn't being toxic, I'm not some poisonous viper hell bent on biting the ankle of every Bungie employee. I am annoyed, frustrated, and disappointed, with the game like so many other hardcore, loyal, and lifelong (3 year) Destiny fans are. This is constructive criticism. Stop defending laziness. Stop defending content that comes out half ass or half content in general. Stop defending companies that make games easier to cater to an audience that doesn't appreciate spending hours and hours in the game to grind for loot. You want things handed to you and that's not the way these games should be operating. Quit defending Bungie. They did some things right, better, and they did a beautiful job building the world's we play in Destiny 2. But they could have done worlds more.

  • Yeah, so have I. You were expecting something more from Destiny 2, but didn't get it. So this is where you display your anger? Shame on you. They work hard to improve this game, and make the gaming community a better place, and this is how you thank them? Might I also add that the Bungie development team isn't as big as other company's development teams. They also don't have a lot to work with. They listened to the community and tried to improve, and that's what really counts. Also, just because you've played since the Beta, like at least 1/3 of the Destiny community has, doesn't mean that you get to criticize them and tell them how much their game sucks. If you're so concerned about the development of the game, then why don't you head on down to Seattle WA and try to help out? And you think the 5 paragraphs of BS you write earlier is constructive? What a joke. What this community has become. You and your "Constructive" criticism. Take it somewhere else you hater.

  • No, not at all. The 3 characters linked to my account leveled/geared themselves up all on their own. I stopped reading your dumb post after you tried to have a dig at Bungie for delaying the prestige raid because of a known glitch.

  • Interesting you insult me. Maybe you should take the time to read it considering most people feel the same way I do. The first few sentences are on the Raid, that's it. Typical negative Nancy who needs to make themselves feel bigger by trying to belittle someone else. GG.

  • Insult you? I stated that the post you created was dumb. Nothing about you but whatever :) I may agree with some of your later points, but that's a big wall of text and its daunting to even look at. You were trying to imply that the glitch had no possible way of sabotaging the legitimacy of the worlds first prestige raid completion, that is blatantly wrong.

  • I am a hardcore player that has beaten the normal and with the exploit. The exploit is simple to set up and really brings the team together. I think it should be kept in for those times when you don't want to deal with all the enemy spwans.

  • Hell in sitting here playing gta and path of exiles, if that tells you how boring destiny has already become. I did the nightfall once out of 3 toons, and played a couple rounds of iron banner before realizing there was no point in doing it. Why run the nightfall when I already have anything worth having, or the raid or any other milestone for that matter.

  • I remember during the taken king days it used to be so fun. Grinding to 320 light trying to get that one drop every week. And now it's so boring at least kings fall was fun to do every time. This raid just isn't fun

  • Bullshit. Why should someone who plays 30 hours be rewarded for being able to sit at home all the time? I work 40-50hours a week and have a 3 year old child so CANT spend 30 hours a week playing. It’s already biased enough towards the sweaty grinders as it is. The vast majority of the 4,000,000+ Destiny players can’t and don’t want to be bone idle lazy bastards who don’t work/contribute in anyway other than sucking tax payers money so they can continue their gaming love affair. Get real mate, you should be scolded for playing 30hours a week, not rewarded.

You dont need anywhere near that amount time that you just made up in your head. If anyone's being lazy, its you in regards to this game, as it doesnt take long to get to max light on one character.

  • Currently you need less than 2hrs/character to get the highest weekly bump in light for time spent. Grinding past that gives ever diminishing rewards. So rightly or wrongly Bungie has set up D2 so that 2hrs/character is the optimal weekly time spent playing if max light is your objective.

  • I have 2 jobs work 55 hours every week and still manage to play a lot and have 3 maxed out chars ... this game is freaking easy to achieve 100% ... grind is part of destiny and was what made this game so good simple

  • Sorry but that is how games have functioned since loot based games were invented. The person who puts the most time in should have better rewards. Thought this was basic stuff. Put it this way, if you have worked somewhere for 10 years and are making $30 an hour, but Robert just started a year ago and is now making $30 an hour with less skill and less experience. Whoever has more time invested should be rewarded more. Someone who boast about working x amount of hours should really know things like this as this is how most things in the world work.

  • I'm not going to sit here and name call or talk down on someone like you just did, but to this as an example. Domino's pizza has a a promotion they call Piece of the Pie. The more you purchase their food the more points you get towards rewards. Same goes with other companies, the more you buy their product or use their services the more rewards you can potentially get. So why should Destiny 2 be any different? The more you play the more loot you should aquire right? The game should NOT be made easier for you because you have less time to put into it. That means a $60 game is cut in half because people with less time can't invest their own time in the product.

  • Your mad and you're looking for somewhere to put it. Bad at the raid? Don't like grinding? What do you people expect! You can go and write all the 5 paragraph essays you want but it won't change the loyalist's opinions. You're wasting your time. If you don't like the game, then just stop playing it. Stop hating on a game that other people like. And why don't you just stop responding to other people's comments. It would do us all a favor. There has been a mix of opinions it seems like. And that's perfectly fine. But if you're mad because Bungie has to fix an exploit, then shame on you. The game is supposed to be fair, not biased.
