So to start, this isn't a new event or anything that special, but it's more a suggested tweak to make pledging to a faction mean more and have more impact than just simply being a vendor.
Factions during the rally, should act like Clans.
-Players aligned to a faction collect xp for that faction by doing the same things you do for regular clan xp or possibly specific activities since just simply playing the game shouldn't net you faction xp (bonus xp for more difficult activites). Much more XP than is required for Clan levels of course.
-Each faction has a number of levels (lets say 5?) each level reached will gain that factions members a reward (legendary mods, shaders, emblems, special buff etc.). Each faction could offer different rewards per level so it would mean more which faction you choose based on the rewards/buffs you want that week.
-Tokens are rewarded for completing activities and are redeemed like normal, but do not increase the overall XP, so ranking up your personal rank with that faction does not impact the winner of the rally.
-The first faction to reach either the max level, or have the most XP gained by the end of the week wins the rally. Players can still gain/submit their tokens during rally week even if a faction has already won.
The only thing this takes away from is the "suspense" in waiting to see who the winner is, which i think is a small price to pay for a more in depth and rewarding/fun faction rally experience.
