Games Vs Gun Control

I wonder with this generation of keyboard warriors and console buffs who never shot a gun in there life try to offer real opinions on guns. Not to mention people from other country's who assume that every american is packing a AR-14 under the bed or closet. Sorry your expectations are really not realistic. I have lived in a country with restrictive gun laws. My dad being in the Air Force at the time. I lived in western United States when he had guns. I can tell you the Yakuza is not some video game they are very real. I used to hear story's from G.I.'s on the base. I was going to high school on Misawa Air Base Japan. 89-93 as i graduated from a D.O.D. high school. They have guns and so do the police. It was not just one story but all story's had the same theme. Growing up i lived in Alaska as we were stationed in Anchorage. My dad did competition shooting or the rare hunting expedition. So i grew up with them and learned how to shoot. While i do not need a gun now nor does my siblings. It is nice to know that we can get protection and know how to use it. Some would like to strip that right away. Make it even harder for a common citizen to purchase a gun. Those who don't understand how gun control works it is a very messy system. For the life of me with these people who complain about guns. I have yet to see a gun just fire it's self unless a person was behind it. Thus guns do not kill people. People kill people. It would be the equivalent of banning swords in the old times when those killed tons more people. Not everyone had a sword nor does ever single person have a gun. A weapon from sword to gun need training and the person trained in such is more aware. Right or wrong they are more aware. Movies fictionalize it as do books games and tv. So guns are a solution as were swords spears ect back when our ancestors were trying to scratch out a living someplace. Gun Control is the idea that you can use laws that will police those who own guns and allow the law to act for the Community against those would would do harm within and without. The problem is just like anything human exceptions are made or the law is effective against one part of the population but they make it for everybody to be fair. The problem with this is as you get more and more restrictive you must rely more and more on police or military to deal with problems. A criminal is not going to wait for a background check. He or she has sources that can get him a weapon. Balancing the laws is also another issue. Who really wants to go buy a gun if it takes you forever to get it? You a law abiding citizen who might just want to shoot a few rounds on the weekends? People who play games seem to think sometimes guns are fantasy violence. Many never shot the real thing as i have two nephews who fall into this as i am sure do many reading this. I am not saying go out and learn how to use a gun but in the world today certain real life skills can help you. Real guns need people to teach them. Just like back in the days of swords you needed a mentor to use it properly and safely. I dunno but it seems kids today are becoming detached to what is real. Like getting into trouble when they get angry making a pistol then gun noises or something along those lines. When i was a kid nothing like that happened but we knew what was and was not real. So the question is i have is why is it OK for a person to bash guns then advocate for gun control while letting the kid play Destiny Halo COD ect..so you trade one addiction for another? Violence has been apart of humanity for sometime now. So what is more ironic? Games or Gun Control?
