The reason why Bungie and Activation shipped an incomplete game

We all wondering why Destiny 2 is missing so many good features from the original game such as Private matches, strikes specific loot, daily bounties, weekly elite bounties, choosing crucible modes and the freedom of choosing which strikes you wanna run. All that comes to what is called "The Trickle Down Effect" where companies Intentionally release an incomplete game to extend the shelf life of a video game, by releasing small updates and DLC to fell the gap between the realese of the game and it's next big update or DLC. I strongly recommend watching this very well informed video by Downward Thrust about this problem where he can explain in detail this phenomena.

  • I disagree. Also this video is pure click bait with a little too much “opinion” included. If a Bungie representative indeed said to withhold content that was intended for the release until they can charge players for it; there would surly be an email or a text or something that you could go public with. I’ll tell you one thing. I look up the accounts of a lot of the people complaint about “no enough game” content posts. And I encourage you all to do the same. Because you might find that they have no characters at cap. They do not have all Xbox achievements or PS4 trophies or in some cases even more than a hand full. Low K/D rankings and worse these players have a trend of toxic posts. But unlike the original poster I have proof you can research yourself. Just tap on a persons name and if their account is linked you can see it’s just a bunch of silly cry babies who are less than 40% complete on the, as they claim, half released content. Mic Drop
stop wasting your time on this post, jump into LFG and find some guardians who want to play the game with you.
• They shipped an incomplete game because they started working on this like, 9 months ago and they had a contractual release date to get the game out by. If you really think that Bunghole spent the last 3 years, or even last 1 year working on this game, I got a bridge I can sell ya. But that's just bungie.

    • Honestly, I don't miss bounties. I felt that Challenges were a nice replacement

    • Because they are money grabbing piece of shit I bought the basic game 60bucks and it's shit. I won't be buying any dlcs or playing much unless friends want to mess around in crucible. I can't wait for red dead redemption 2 and anthem to finally kill the Destiny universe because that's all bungie deserve.

    • They did it because they knew people would buy it.
