Why I Am Not Worried About Not Finishing The Raid/Trials (and why you shouldn't either)

DLC Short and sweet right there. DLC (if you choose to purchase it) will allow you to raise your light level eventually through normal progression and you don't necessarily need to complete current hard capped content for the best gear. You simply need to wait. Of course there are several excuses and rebuttals floating around for not being able to complete raids/weeklies/trials for the best gear but over time my idea of fun and time allotted to that fun has changed since September 2014 and D1 has shown us that "max" Light Level is short lived and kinda pointless if it will be increased through normal progression when an expansion drops. I know that last statement might trigger a few of the elititsts out there but it is true. Games like these will be full of "elite" "plebs" "scrubs" but there are also people who WANT to help, carry, and teach other players to "git gud". They might not be on the same tier as the better players but they still got to experience parts of the game with the help of other Guardians and that is what I am thankful for. I will close out this post with a little anecdote from this morning that led me to this realization: I was on the LFG portal on the App looking for raid groups. I have been through Castellum and Pleasure Gardens before so I was looking to help teams or at least complete areas for rewards. I got an invite to a Calus boss fight and tried it a few times before i was booted for "not knowing what i was doing" (i guess it is easier to blame the pick up guy) Next i helped a few people through Dogs and Castellum before coming across a group with at least 3 people that didnt understand the Pleasure Gardens. This was a good teaching/learning experience until my son (10 months old) woke up and i had to leave the group to attend to him. I realized how easy it was to put down the game and not feel guilty about it because life comes first for me and thought "well if i am not gonna get 305 anytime soon why should i stress myself out about it?" TL;DR Life got in the way of my Raiding and I am ok with that in spite of the qualifiers other players place on us
