I get it, a LOT of folks find PvP games really fun. I'm not one of them. I'm disabled and have a really hard time with the pace and the attitude in crucible matches. I play Destiny to escape my disability in real life. In the destiny universe, I can run, jump, and do all sorts of things my physical body will never be able to do again. I can feel somewhat good about myself while in the destiny univverse... UNTIL I'm forced to try crucible because Ive reached some kind of weekly set limit on things that raise my power level up. So I try. I get beat so bad and then the "tea-bagging" starts and then Everything feels like a direct insult to me, and I - pretty quickly - lose the desire to continue, and end up feeling like second-hand dog crap if I stick around for longer than a match or two of complete fails... I mean, I have a darned kd of less than .5 if I remember right. I am consistently THE ONE teams seek out and team shoot. So, come on folks at Bungie... How about making it easier for folks who SUCK as bad as me get together with OTHER people who arent good, instead of me getting matched up with folks who have gone flawless in Trials multiple times already, who use me simply to get further up in their kd ratio the easy way? Or how about this - make crucible a completely separate portion of the game, untied at all to the PvE side. BY ANY QUESTLINE (of significance)... but that aint gonna happen... Ever.
I know, I know... I suck... I'll save you the words: Git Gud (sic). Now, I'll take suggestions as to how to seriously get better matches or how to be better given my skill and ability I HAVE AT MY DISPOSAL. I'm not looking for pity party hand outs or carries, I want to get better, I really do, but I have limits. Be the Destiny community I remember that helps each other and HELP A BROTHA OUT!

Just avoid PvP? It's one (or two if you count trials) of the many powerful engrams you can score.

Edited by standto2004: 9/29/2017 4:37:52 AMJust try to stay behind your team mates and keep looking around so you don't get flanked. Stay in the back or the middle of the pack. Stay around the corner when the engagement starts and see where your team mates are shooting and where the incoming fire is coming from so when you pie around the corner you know where to shoot. If the tbaging and insults get over the top or you are getting smashed just go back to orbit. And turn of messaging on your console so you don't have to read stupid hate mail.

I think you need to understand that this is an MMORPG loot grinding game. They all have weekly lock out and resets. There are people who play some of these games 1 or 2 days a week at end game because there is nothing left. I like PvP, but I never have time for it. I haven't done the nightfall or raid yet, and don't want to wait 30 minutes to "Find" a game. My characters are almost in the 290's It's not hard to gear up. And if your going to get mad about re-doing the public event stuff, then maybe you need to find a new game.

What quests require you to play Crucible?
-
Im 305 and trials was the fast way there, even though im a pve guy, so i kinda agree.
-
It's far from required actually
-
If anything Destiny 1 pushed crucible so much it was sickening. It's not required much of AT ALL in Destiny 2.
-
I played 2 rounds of quickplay early on before i was even level 20
-
You can wait until next reset. The only one forcing you to play Crucible is yourself. :)
