Destiny. A Dying Patient

I'm in a weird place mentally with this game. The original Destiny felt amazing to play, and by the end of it. Fleshed out and ready for a true sequel carrying over all the rights bungie was able to achieve by the end of it. September 6, 2017... The game officially fell ill to a disease called "BDS" (Bad Development Syndrome). It's like a patient coughing in a hospital bed, trying to convince you he's going to get better, but 80% of you feels that just wont happen, while 20% of you feels he should just be put out of his misery. I love Destiny, but I hate what's happening to it. Bungie in all honesty doesn't deserve to have a universe this cool because all they do is limit us within it. They give us cobbled up bits of lore and say the left out pieces are "intentional." Right now. I simply want Destiny to die. We had a good thing for a while. But it's being killed off by corporate greed and lazy development. Look at our completely inactive community managers. These guys are -blam!-ing idiots. Both Deej, and Cozmo both baffle me in their lack of response, and communication. So many people have complained about things going backwards in this game that I think it's time they just stop. Take the servers down. Pull a FFXIV: A Realm Reborn and just continue working on the game. Take the complaints into account. Bring back a multitude of PVP modes. Bring back every zone we were able to go into in Destiny 1. Who cares if they're liberated. I want to go to Mars again. I wanna explore the plaguelands once more. Gun variety in this game is also extreme bullshit to the Nth degree. I have never heard anyone complain about the random perk drop system. This was most likely streamlined in an attempt to balance PVP. But in a looter shooter, that's impossible. You can't balance PVP in it. In catering to this realm, PVE grind appeal has dwindled extremely. What happens when we get every good legendary gun in the game? What about every armor piece? Can't grind out for that god roll Better Devils hand canon. They're all the same. Exotic repeats like crazy. I get the RNG factor, but I'm almost certain there is a sliver of code that actually bends it more towards exotics we already have. This was your "attempt" at extending grind appeal in realization that the lack of legendary variety would be an issue. This failed substantially because this was something we asked to be fixed in D1. Why would we want this problem back? Your worlds are big, but you're not fooling me. Lost sectors absolutely suck. You run in, kill a major, and dip with pretty shit rewards. Public events are extremely repetitive, and wouldn't be as washed out if you, oh, I don't know... Made strikes worth something? This is actually really funny because in no way did I think ghosts of the past would ever haunt this game again, but they're actually so much worse. Titan... My god. This moon... This moon is actually one of the most interesting things in our solar system. But making this place a water world was an absolute terrible idea. Titan in real life is a rocky world with spotted lakes of liquid methane. This place should have looked a little more like venus from D1 if anything. Nope. We get Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire level water world bullshit. I'm sorry. Water means limited exploration. I cant deal with that. It's such a tiny map and there's no reason for it to be. Such a filler world. Vex, Fallen, Cabal, Hive, Taken.... Again... With the only enemy faction having been slightly overhauled being the cabal. This game was such a huge Activision requested port job, it's just striking. It's obvious. The worlds are just so lacking and boring. The farm is empty upon end game. We can't 1v1 private match each other. We got only two crucible game modes, the most unfun of which (supremacy) coming up so much it literally gives me AIDS. I can't turn a blind eye to this. I really cant. It's such a let down, and I know fan boys will come to this games defense. But idiocy shows its head everywhere these days. Just as they ignore the obviously popular recurring criticisms so shall we ignore them. Fix your game Bungie. It's falling. I bet that 1.3 million playerbase you had week one is less than half that number now. Good luck.
